The food is beautiful and tasty. Now I am only doing this review cuz there 2 hot pot place now. If I was dining I would wonder which is better. I been to both. This place is way more expensive than hello Shabu (the ayce hot pot one down the street) but the soup and meat are better. I pay around $60 without tip (got the beef set) and the other one was around $40 without tip. Is the food $20 better? Imo no but it is good. The dipping sauce is worst here (2/5) though cuz hello Shabu sauce are so good. (4/5). So if you want better meat and soup and pay more then come here. If you just want to save money and eat like crazy then go to the other. Service was good on both and both was clean and beautiful. The only downside on this one is not a lot of option. There very few veggie (see pic) compare to the other, only udon, but you can get as many as you want. I got 2 bowl full. Keep in mind it is new so they may add more stuff. Their tofu is also very hq compare to the other. Hope this review help you chose.
Feedback: I wish there was a mix meat option. It was beef, beef and seafood, and seafood. I wish we could get a mix of lamb, pork belly, chicken etc for $40. If you want mix meat it would be so expensive even at $17 small each that would be $68 to get pork, lamb, chicken, beef, and seafood. Then you wouldn’t be able to eat it all cuz it so much food. So I rather get a smaller set for $40 and a few...
Read moreHigh Google rating. Low quality food
We came here just because of the high Google rating, but honestly, it was a huge disappointment. We’re not coming back, and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
First off, they require each person to order their own hot pot, even if you don’t eat much. The cheapest pot starts at $69, not including drinks or service charge — way off from the $30–$50 per person estimate shown online.
We ordered the cheapest meat set and the seafood set, and the quality was no better than a low-end buffet: • The meat was cheap frozen slices, all stuck together and hard to separate. • The seafood was not fresh at all, had a strong fishy smell, like it had been sitting in the freezer for way too long.
In the end, we paid over $170 for two people — almost $85 each — and we still left hungry. And we’re just average eaters, not big appetites.
What’s worse? We were the only customers in the whole restaurant during our visit. The glowing reviews really don’t match the actual experience. This place is a textbook case of a misleading high rating.
Don’t fall for the hype. You’d get a much better deal (and much better food) at pretty much any all-you-can-eat hot pot place nearby.
Summary: Overpriced, overrated, and cheap ingredients. Not worth your...
Read moreThis is my new favorite restaurant! We dont have anything else like this in the IE. I used to have to drive out to LA for good hotpot.
Im vegetarian and this place rocks. You get a wonderful assortment of different veggies and tofus to cook in your broths.
The Mala and Tom Yum are my favorite. The Mala is HOT but not too hot. The Tom Yum is delicious and lemongrassy with a lil heat kick. I like to get the split pot so I can go back and forth between broths.
Def dont be scared to sit at the bar. I wasnt sure Id like it but now its my favorite way to eat here. Having your own bowl and getting to cook things exactly how you like it is great.
It may take you a few times of visiting to figure out your favorite combo of veggies/meats/broths but omg it is so worth it. Once you find your favorite combo you wont be able to stop coming haha.
The servers are friendly and attentive. Dont be scared to ask questions or recommendations! Trying new things can be daunting but I hope you all give this place a chance because I desperately want this restaurant to stay...
