I went here today with high expectations as someone who was born and raised in Washington state and has not enjoyed proper teriyaki in California since I moved here regardless I ordered the chicken plate which cost $13.30 as of 9/18/24 and I ordered an egg roll with it as well. I did not know that it was a two piece egg roll that cost 6.99 on the same date she charged me for both items and while I was waiting for my food, I saw a sign that said special of the week chicken plate and one egg roll four 13.79 my final total was 22.93 so at this point, I asked the worker is the special the same size as the plate I just ordered she replied yes it is. I said then did I pay 9 dollars over the price where she told me it was because of the extra eggroll so you're telling me this place charges about seven dollars for an eggroll that's insane. Clearly it's not because their special is 13.79 that includes the egg roll and the T1 plate is 13.30 someone at the establishment needs to set their prices right and tell their employees how to cater to customers just because of this experience I'll never come back here. Food was good not as good as Seattle's best but subpar on top of all of that, the lady at the front had the nerve to argue with me about, the math of the final price if she would've just suggested the special instead it wouldn't have been a problem like she supposed to do people don't know how to do simple...
Read moreDecent fast casual Japanese place on Hospitality Lane in SanBernardino. The best thing about this place is the hostess! Super nice and efficient. We had Bento boxes. The presentation was perfect, and so I had high expectations. However the steak teriyaki (at a place named the best teriyaki) was okay grade, but cold. The teriyaki sauce was very thin and super salty, more like soy sauce. The edamame was good but COLD yech. The gyoza was excellent...crispy and flavorful, although deep fried not pan fried. Rice was fine. The salad was mostly white iceberg, and the dressing was medical whip, not the expected tangy Japanese dressing. No miso soup. The shrimp tempura was cooked perfectly, but there was some dirty intestine left in there from poor cleaning...gross!!. The facility smells strongly of pinesol, but otherwise the dining room was nicely decorated and spacious. Plenty of seating. The bathroom was seriously disgusting. Mismatched toilet tank cover, black slime deposits on the lower 4 inches of wall tile, nasty sink and gross pee puddle on the floor. To the owner: you can do better. Cost was $56 for two bento boxes and 1 can of coke and 8 gyoza. Outrageous! This place could easily earn another star or two if some...
Read moreMy food was so delicious! I came by for lunch because I wanted a quick beef rice bowl and didn’t want Waba - I wanted that mom and pop type kind of food. This place came up and they were super kind and quick, all the tables were clean and it was a well maintained restaurant.
However, the most important thing was their food! It was super yummy. The rice is much better than most places and has that stickiness to it and the meat was juicy and well cooked and I devoured it! My veggies had no mushiness to them, they actually taste like they are blanched or something and I’m very impressed with that. On top of everything, their prices were very reasonable.
I will definitely be back, I hope you guys stay in business for a long time and judging by your positive reviews, I am sure you will!
Take, be safe and thank you for the...
