This is my second visit in this location. It is relatively quiet every time I do come in. There are more online orders than people ordering here. The workers are super nice! They really gave me the amount I wanted & they did not hesitate to do so. On my first visit, I ordered a shawafel bowl which means two proteins which are shawarma & falafel. It was pretty abundant which means I did not finish my bowl. I also decided to have mint lemonade as my drink. I like the mint lemonade, it’s a good balance between the two. Today’s visit was consisted of just steak shawarma rice bowl. I normally get half rice and half salad but this time, I got half salad & half couscous. It was a good decision and probably be the combination I do get for now. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade which, for me, was more watered down. Most of my bowls have garbanzo beans, extra sumac onions, the sumac cauliflower, tzatziki, cucumber tomato mix & tahini sauce! It is my go to! So so so delicious! I do still have to taste the pomegranate chicken & eggplant ragout! Overall, I can see myself coming back here & trying different combinations once a week! PS. They are close tomorrow, July 4th.

Inside the Bayhill shopping center, i found another lil hidden gem. Picked up costco gift card promotion for SAJJ. The shop is clean and open with helpful staff. We decided to try the chicken and steak shawarma bowls since it's our firsttime here. In a nutshell, you select the meat/prtein, rice, veggies and sauce. It also comes with a free lentil soup with the bowls. We're pleasantly surprised by the flavor and freshness of our shawarmas! The lentil soup looks like baby food but don't let the look fool you...it tastes good. I say check it out.

Ordered a rice bowl with steak shawarma and another rice bowl with pomegranate chicken shawarma. Added some side dishes on top of the same plate. Rice and meat was warm, but I would have a little hotter. Flavor was ok, not exceptional but the company says the produce are local, which will help the local farmers

I usually love this place. I always order through DoorDash or Uber Eats and the food is always amazing, so I decided to come to this location in person today. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t the same.

The lady who helped me seemed a bit confused, so I switched to Spanish, which was fine for me, but the service felt rushed. She forgot about my pita bread after putting it in the toaster, and I had to remind her to get it. It ended up burnt and wasn’t even cut.

Without telling me there would be an extra charge, she started adding feta cheese. I told her multiple times that one scoop was enough, but she kept going and then told me I would be charged for it. I didn’t want to argue, so I let it go, but it was disappointing. She also barely added any lettuce, which made the meal less enjoyable.

When I kindly asked if I could eat there, she replied, “yeah, it’s a restaurant,” which came off a little rude. I only asked because it was empty and I wasn’t sure if dine-in was open.

I still really love the food here and will continue ordering online because it’s usually great, but today’s in-person experience was not good. Hopefully next time it’s better, because I truly do...

When you walk in to a place and it feels like home, your food tastes extra special! Sajj sources their ingredients locally and it reflects in the flavors. We were warmly greeted by the staff behind the counter and they were super patient as everyone requested their custom orders. I gotta say that a bowl is as good as the rice and I loved the turmeric rice that reminded me of some of the best that I have had! I had chicken shawarma on my rice bowl and loaded up on hummus and yogurt. The portion sizes are huge!! You can definitely split it in two meals.

I was intrigued with seeing impossible kebab and will definitely go back to savor the rest of the menu items.

P.S. try some home made drinks while...
