Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in San Carlos

My son was excited to come back to this location because it had been closed for a remodel. My son saw the creature creations menu was updated with characters from the movie IF, there were also little IF paper hats, all over the counters, so I put one on my son's head. We order ice cream, pay, and we're asked if we were dining in, I guess there's a "eating ice cream in-store" charge now. After a few minutes, the lady asks how we are doing, but then puts on a serious face and asks my son, "Did you grab that paper hat from the counter?" My son responds yes, she then tells my son directly, "You're not supposed to do that, those are for decoration only, next time ask". I then give her a look like what the heck, and I tell her I handed it to him. Then, she continues working. Ice cream was great, but why'd she have to say that to a 7 year old, seasonal paper hats have always been available for anyone to grab. There's more. Before she helped me, she also discouraged an elderly lady from getting a milkshake, by telling her she doesn't have clean blenders, and would have to wash them before helping her. The lady got mad and ordered a double scoop instead. She didn't seem to care about this store, she told other customers "this isn't my store, mine is in San Mateo, I'm just covering". Super rude and aggressive server. I went in after multiple times of coming in as a regular customer who would often go in and order and then use the bathroom or vice versa. Went in and used the bathroom first and then came out to order and server behaved very aggressively and rudely, repeatedly talking over me and telling me how I need to ask first and how it’s only for customers despite the fact I was about to order, told him I was a customer and have used the bathroom before and then ordered and then he repeatedly talked over me and interrupted me for a solid minute, acting super rude and aggressive, refusing to listen or have any reasonable understanding or professionalism, acting as if I was going in and messing up the bathroom. He could have phrased it in 5 different ways without yelling at me or being nearly as aggressive, shame especially when their are much nicer friendlier servers at this same place. Too bad as we have been going here for so long:(. Don't try to buy any cakes/ pies with CASH ..... very funny as they won't change anything over $20. I had no problem going to cold stone Menlo Park and paying cash for their Birthday items- I guess they don't want cash customers anymore. If they are scared of fraud, there are bill markers that work well if people can't tell bills are fake or not. Kids here are sweet but management makes odd rules on purchases...
