We live in Temecula area. On 6/10/21 at 6:10 pm I entered the store to place a to go order. We where heading back over the Ortega’s and wanted to pick up some bagels. I stood in line to place my order. There was only a couple at the register when I entered the store. I waited for them to place there order. They finished and I approached the register. The cashier at that point decided to talk to the guy who had walked up about going to lunch and making sure that they would be able to leave by 9pm. I placed my order of a bakers dozen bagels. I asked for 3 cinnamon raisin, 4 Asiago and 6 plain. I also ordered the last everything to be toasted And 2 small cream cheese and on large. I paid and then waited of to the side as there was now about 10 people behind me. I decided to walk to the back and use the restroom. As I walked back to the restroom I noticed several employees just standing around at the pick up window just chatting. As I walked through the restaurant I noticed just about every table was empty but filthy. I used the restroom (which were clean) and went back up front. I waited a few more minutes and was then given my order. I then proceeded to drive an hour home. On the way home we noticed that we had only received one of the small cream cheese. When we got home we noticed that the rest of the was not accurate. We had only 11 bagels, no Asiago, and some how 3 poppy seeds. We called the store around 7:30 to voice a complaint. The person who answered the phone said they were a manager. The only solution he gave was for us to drive the hour back to get a credit or in the chance that we happen to be in the area in the future we could get a credit off a future visit. Sent an email in to corporate on that evening. That was Sunday it is now Wednesday at noon and we have heard nothing. I called corporate and voiced my complaints we will see if anyone cares. Read moreThis is "our" Panera, and even though it's at an Outlet Mall, it's come to be the location we visit most, despite another one being just a mile or so farther (in a different direction). I will make the first point that this particular location improved DRAMATICALLY over the course of several months after running into what I can best describe as inconsistent service and a strange, aloof atmosphere of detachment. Their service is far better now with pretty near zero mistakes on food orders. A couple things keep it from 5 stars: the food is not brought to the table any longer... You need to approach the delivery counter and get it yourself. If you have a large family and no children with capable hands, this turns into dad's good deed for the evening, bringing everyone their food. Secondly, they now charge for each extra baguette. This is stupendously lame. It's bread. I realize both of those things are perhaps mandated by the mothership, so the -1 star is meant more for them than the great management now in place here. Read more06.17.22 Panera bread locations offer generally pretty good food selections and customer service. I was in the area and needed to Yelp or Google a place to eat. I was surprised and noted the less than good/standard review rating. I went to check out why and ordered my food, sat at one of the tables and waited for my name to be called. I waited and waited, until I decided to check and see what is taking so long. I found out that my payment did not go through. I could not believe that the clerk did not look for me and let me know. The same payment card went through without an issue so no clue why the first try did not work. The order was not processed because the payment card did not go through the first time. Costumer service probably perceived that I'm no good or my card is no good so no need to check? The follow through and not looking for customer is not acceptable. I received a free cookie for the inconvenience. Bad reflection on business flow does not make a pretty good cookie worth the inconvenience.
