On time Watch and Jewelry Repair — Local services in San Clemente

Recommendation: Call other places and get quotes first. I won’t be back.

I consider this review and poor experience my fault. I should’ve called in advance and I should have called around. I didn’t. And because I didn’t ask about price, they got me.

Value: 1/5 I had two Swatch watches that needed their batteries replaced. I’m not too handy, and figured I’d take it to a local watch repair place and see if they could do it quickly. I’d had good experiences doing this with other places in the past.

As I handed them the watches I looked at the back and saw on both watches there is a simple battery door, for easy replacement. I hadn’t noticed, or looked but as I handed the watches over I thought, “Darn, even I could’ve replaced the batteries easily.” But I didn’t have the batteries and they probably had them handy. So I gave them the watches and came back the next day.

When I picked them up the cost was $50. I thought, dang that’s pretty high. Maybe the batteries were expensive? I didn’t know. I spent about that much on one of the Swatches brand new. Darn.

Well, I hadn’t confirmed the price in advance. Guess I was stuck so I paid it.

Then I went home and looked up the cost of the batteries. Amazon sells two batteries for $5.75. That means they charged me over $40 in labor for what would have easily taken them 5 minutes. 10 if I’m being generous.

Service: 5/5 Happy. English is a second language, but that didn’t hinder the transaction at all.

Location: 3/5 You have to park and then walk to the farthest point in the mall. If you’re walking around the mall, it’s perfect. If you’re going just for the watch...

Rings are fake why did we buy suming not worth $160 say the least bent up and when he said it was silver there was no stamp indicating it was ever silver banding on it I want my refund yet I heard on here there scammers so tell me why do this to Americans? Knowing what you are doing is disgusting and horrible to say the least outrageous then say it’s rhodium yet everything’s fake don’t buy the rings don’t buy no jewelry unless it’s stamped and you know what your getting into you really sold me glass 😭 then hollow on the inside so blind to see what a big scam honestly my fault but you won’t fool me twice trust worst place will not be buying nothing from sketchy places like that again I’m sticking to Jared’s and top brands I’d rather spend a band then spend my $100’s of dollars look what being cheap and affordable gets you right? I don’t know what this world went wrong maybe when humans like those people got onto this earth and scammed people like us. By the way I bought this today and got the receipt as well so when ever this is posted I’m writing it now…. Hope yall stay far away...

The worst type of salespeople. Nice guys, but only as long as things go their way. When they don't, they turn very ugly. I have purchased at least 40 to 50 watches from this place. Everything went well until I ordered a couple of watches. Then the wheels fell off the wagon. They are clueless in customer service and they are sneaky and dishonest with refunds. They never update you and every time you call or show up in person, you have to identify yourself as if it's the first time. They don't maintain their own paperwork and they will not refund the full amount even if they are in the wrong or cannot produce the product. Very disappointing since I spent so much money there over the years. I would never go back and would also scream BUYER BEWARE. Deal with a real shop and avoid all of what I went through for getting back $150 on...
