Horrible service, Judgy staff. Me and a couple of friends were harmlessly window shopping in their store. We barely moved anything out of place, and we were just taking a look at items when an employee approaches us, and begins to follow us around the store. One of my friends looks into a mirror, and the woman begins to insult and call him names, saying that he and our personalities are weird, and that we should be doing something better. We brush it off as a joke until she begins to lure us to the exit of the store, and proceeds to kick us out with ZERO reasoning, saying that we must enter the store with an adult. First of all, the store has NEVER mentioned that minors need to enter the store with an adult. I have walked into the store many times alone, and not once have I been told to leave because I was alone. This is a horrible way to treat customers. What type of employee follows minors around, and proceeds to call them names for having harmless fun? For anyone who is curious about the woman-- her description is a tan skin, curly hair, freckles, and wrinkles, i am assuming that she is the owner. However, i will say that the employee with green hair was amazing, and thar your store should refrence your attitudes based off them!!Again, customers should NEVER be guarded like a hawk over their age. Just because they've had bad experiences with teens, does not mean they should treat all as criminals. Please do not continue with this store. Their service is awful.
replying to the owner-- if your store released the minor policy approx. two weeks ago, how come I was never kicked out of your store last week? And if that were true, I do believe that there would atleast be a paper or two stating that minors cannot enter the store without a guardian. By looking at the recent replies as well, they have all agreed and stated that there was not one sign saying that minors cannot enter without an adult. Another thing, how are you going to say my body review is false when I stated what happened from the second we walked into the store? I had more than one person with me that all saw. That is 3 against 1. You cannot claim that my reasoning is false without a single mention on why. I bet you can look at the camera footage aswell! So there is absolutely no excuse for you to be claiming that I am wrong. My review does not explain how I act. It is obvious that I am going to seem angry, because you kicked me and friends out of the store for zero reasoning. OBVIOUSLY I am going to seem rude over text. And "this is why we chose to enact this policy" gives no reason on why I was kicked out. Bad experiences with other age groups gives no reasoning to kick out those who did absolutely nothing wrong. Once again, fix...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is way overdue!!! if I could give 10 stars thatās what I would do!!!! my first time stepping into the store was last year back in December when I was searching for last minute gifts I found everything I neededā¦.. I went back earlier this year and decided to purchase some items for my son, and to my surprise they had an incredible amount to choose from for his age range, so it made it very easy for me to locate items and even pick a few for the upcoming year as he advances in age! The third time I came to the store I was greeted by one of the owners and I wasnāt sure who it was at 1st+ I canāt see so Iām squinting and he was very helpfulā¦. I was not informed that Tinker Bell was going to be visiting and that they were having a movie morning event and he asked if I would like to attend with my son. I of course said yes this is probably our first outing that we really needed after my husband passing away, we have not really been āoutā. We had an enjoyable time and then I was able to get my 18m old to watch an entire original movie and retrieve an autographed signature with the original REAL LIFE Tinker Bell and some pictures for my sons keepsake, and then I proceeded to get some more toys for my son, which he just absolutely loves. There is no way that this toy store could ever have a negative review I am just absolutely taken aback by the lady below in her accusations of this store!! I knew that the negative review didnāt make any sense because they said that they were going to buy it. Iām sorry, but if anybody has half a brain they could realize that if you were going to ābuy somethingā like she stated she was going to doā¦.. ummmmm you definitely donāt want it on the dirty floor!!! That review is completely inaccurate, and I reported the post for it to be removed, because that is straight bullying and harassment of a great establishment that has community values and welcomes people with open arms!!! Have respect for other peopleās items until you pay for it and then you can put it on the floorā¦. I canāt wait to come back and see what other goodies I can get so I can See my son smile again and again!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø. IM SO GRATEFUL THANK YOU FOR CREATING A...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis has been the most pleasant visit to any store I've ever been to. If you ever thought that the magic of Christmas is gone, I suggest you go here to restore your sense of wonderš„¹.
The Toy Box in San Clemente Outlet is owned and operated by a friendly wife and husband duo (and their assistant). I told the helpful young assistant (I sound so old!š ) I like koalas and the owner lady said she doesn't recall having any, but will look around. They both searched the store and after several minutes found me 3 optionsš¤©. Without cue they gave me plenty of space to mull it over. I loved that there was no pressure to buy.
The pic attached is who I ended apdopting at 'The Toy Box'. He looks so disheveled!š Like as if he's having a rough time!š„ŗ Interestingly, these little guys are weighted, microwavable and are called 'Warmies'. Thank you young store-person assistant! Startingly, the weight makes it feels like you are holding something real!š³ I haven't tried the heated feature yet, but it has aroma therapy when I do. I for one will be shopping for more weighted stuffed animals because they are a hoot! It's really feels like you are handling something, alive.
I suggest stopping by this place if you're ever in need of a gift for someone at any age. The price for both my purchases were below retail. Which shocks me for a place such as nice as this. If you take into consideration there's a large showroom full of products you never knew existed, that you can see and feel in real life, (if you wanted) you could have your own live 'personal shopping assistant' (if it's a slow day) to give you ideas and help you find stuff and lastly, being able to have your purchase right then & there I'd say this place is a bargain.
By us patronizing small mom & pop shops instead of big box stores or giant, online, faceless corporations, we're contributing to the local economy instead of some corporate shareholder's pocket. I hope you get a chance to visit this store one day. Maybe we can send a message to those exploitive, slave-wage employers that, if we have options like the 'Toy Box', we will shop...
