I've been here a few times now, and the service is way better. The people who work there are super nice and helpful. This place slowly got packed when I was here. Thankfully, I was just waiting for my order. I love the decorations here, so much to look at and occupy you while you wait. If you choose to eat outside, you are surrounded by beautiful views. This time, I tried the nachos and my usual sawed-off breakfast burrito.
I really wanted to try the tacos, but I saw the chips were made to order. I was sold right away.
Tri tip nachos with no beans and cilantro is where it's at. The tri tip is so tender and chips are so crunchy and addictive. What more do you need? This is a meal on it's own.
We also had the bacon sawed-off breakfast burrito, such cheesy amazing goodness.
I highly recommend a nap after eating here.
First time going here and I wasn't too sure what to think with the mixed reviews I saw. I was concerned everyone was just talking about the salsas and not the taste of the food on its own.
We had the sawed off burrito. One chorizo and one bacon and sausage. I believe those are the first items to get when getting a breakfast burrito.
I am happy to say I'm not disappointed with my choice. Both burritos were flavorful on its own. It did not need any special salsa to give it a boost or a kick.
Customer service could have been a little better but it's whatever. I guess the only choice you have for breakfast is a breakfast burrito đ¤ˇââď¸? The lady didn't want to explain anything else and said tacos are for...
Read moreA+ This place is awesome! The atmosphere is like old school tattoo cholo culture sprinkled with 18th century Mexico and a bit of Americana, then some crazy pirate type stuff just for fun. I got a CaliGuey Burrito and my 12 year old got a kid's bean and cheese burrito, which he always gets when we eat Mexican. We are both picky about our burritos (he hates Chipotle and Del Taco, and I hate Taco Bell). We both agreed these were the best burritos we've had in a long time. The whole dining experience, they were playing classic rock, and we were quizzing each other on the music as we gushed about how much fun we were having. Oh, and the salsa is đŁ. Even my boy loved the Chubbie, and he isn't usually down with salsa unless it's Ricardo's or Miguel's Jr -- and he said he liked it better than both. This place rocks! We will definitely be a regular here. Super rad joint. My ONLY disappointment was that I wanted to buy a bottle of the Chubbie to take home for him, but one little bottle was $15! đą Even at $12 it would have been a little rough, but I probably would have done it. For some reason $15 just rubbed me weird. Lower the salsa price! đ overall beautiful place, great food, but a bit overpriced. I'll still throw 5 stars. Blessings my friends...
Read moreThe place looks like it could be nice, perhaps it was when they opened, and I am sure there is potential for the food to be good, however it overall was a bad experience. The restaurant, the tables, the bathroom is all covered in dust and appears to not have been cleaned in who knows how long I wouldnât let my kids in the bathroom. The first thing is the customer service, the woman who took my order, she didnât seem to care to answer any questions in a way that made sense. I asked what she recommends and she only said âeverything is goodâ and had an attitude like she would rather be doing anything else. I had 3 items and 3 drinks from the menu and the food was all overly greasy. Somehow I paid almost $80 for the whole order which after eating some of it and not being able to stomach it due to the flavor and amount of grease on it, I was not satisfied with the price. I could get the same thing at a taco truck with better quality for half or even a third of the price, or go across the street to Taco Bell and at least be satisfied. I wonât be returning, I hope they can get this place cleaned up because I donât know how anyone can eat in there...
