I’m randomly walking downtown and discover this little place to eat. I’m trying to broaden my horizons then I immediately get reminded why I stopped eating out. I’ve been here twice. The first time, service grade A. I ordered the cobb salad and the chili. My salad seemed decent. A tad stingy with the avocado, but other than that everything seemed in order. It even appeared that the lettuce was washed. Everyone claims to do it then you smash a seasoning and see blood come out. I ordered an extra dressing and the worker was nice enough to give it to me. Especially seeing my first trip cost me roughly $26 for a salad and a 2 oz bowl of chili. So I decided to go today. I ordered the same thing. I asked for an extra dressing and the guy charged me a $1. So I asked him do you have to pay for those? He said yes so I asked him to remove the charge. He went ahead and gave me the dressing . Then he proceeds to tell me that his business is cut because people are working from home. So I guess that is why they have such high prices for the people who do not work there. I got my salad back to my desk to find the lettuce was wilted and there were bugs in my salad. If I had the time I would have taken it back. So I wasted $18 today, for a salad that skimped avocado with a sprinkle of bugs. I am likely not going to return. That place...
Read moreI’m in town for less than a week. Staying at a nearby hotel, I wanted to find something within walking distance. We went here as I couldn’t find anything else close by that was open. The place is clean and conveniently located. They have plenty of outdoor seating. I got the acia bowl and my husband got the big breakfast burrito. I didn’t really like my bowl, but I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to change my order. There were a lot of chunks of ice in it- it wasn’t smooth. The granola tasted weird, like chemicals. My husband loved his breakfast burrito. Ate all of it. So, I give them 4 stars. Maybe I should have ordered something else. There are a lot of other places to try, so I probably wouldn’t go back. But for $23 for two breakfasts, a bottled water, and an OJ, it’s...
Read moreHair in my food! I was using this place as my go to cafe. Was good for the first few times but the quality definitely deteriorated the more I went. I thought since I was a regular that they would take extra care of my food but sadly it was the opposite. Cold cheese, greasy burritos, always having to ask for sauces and utensils. It’s me! I went there almost every other day and yet the my treat you like a stranger. I’m pretty sure I was the only person who came in on some days. The cook doesn’t wear a mask. The cashier is always sitting down on her phone. Do I really have to beg for salsa? Never going again. Too bad. I always try to go the small biz route but this place is...
