This is a gem hidden inside the Marriott hotel.   We began a birthday celebration with a Del Mar Spritz (aperol, elderflower, sparkling wine) and a most delicious filtered sake (Junmai Ginjo).  Crunchy, yet fluffy,  yucca fries were a perfect bite with chimichurri and spicy mayo.  However,  the star was the fish.  The Hamachi sashimi was the perfect balance of texture, while the spicy yellowtail sushi was very tasty with avocado and just the right hint of spice.   We continued with another round of 'ring of fire' sushi which was yellowtail elevated and seriously spicy, absolutely delicious.  And finally the California roll with real blue crabmeat was simply phenomenal.   Everything seemed a perfect blend of freshness,  just the right spice and elegant presentation.  This would have been a 5 star review if the atmosphere was a bit more cozy.

I was here on a work trip and ate while I was here. I ordered the Del Mar Spritz and loved it. It was refreshing and citrusy. I ordered the iceberg wedge salad with a side of grilled chicken (I forgot to take a picture of the chicken). The salad was great but the chicken was lukewarm, it tasted good but it wasn’t hot. Other than that, the service was great and atmosphere was nice too.

This hotel restaurant is great! The receptionist was very attentive took his right to our seat. They came right away and when I mean right away right away and filled our water up. Immediately after the server came over and asked us what we wanted to drink and then we ordered. We got our entrées and then we decided to get some dessert. Very good for a hotel restaurant. Thank you!!

I would love to explain why this review is a 1 star in hopes others understand the level of disrespect I received. So on 10-22-21 I was attending a church function at this hotel I have been driving for hours to get here and i just wanted food and coffee. I try to get a cup of coffee from a self serving table when a male restaurant manager approached me in a rude tone with sir sir sir can I help you? Like if I'm stealing or don't belong. I said I'm getting coffee he said they are going to charge you for that. I'm puzzled like so what I have money if they do. I also told him we are waiting to get sat so i go to finish getting my coffee and he interrupted me again with sir requesting I stop and get seated in the restaurant. So I was calm about it and sat our service was very slow due to the volume of people that came after we order calamari and it came very cold and I requested it be warmed up please. 12 mins later the same rude guy brings my plate without the sauce and just thrown on another plate he requested that I eat it in front of him to make sure I don't send back. I have tattoos on my neck and arms and hands so I felt profiling was being done this guy doesn't know I make six figures he looked at me and assumed I was a thug. It took so much for me to remain quite and finish my sub par food. The couple behind me even asked me did he really just make you eat food in front of him? How disrespectful is that. Needless to say I'm staying at a hotel I can't even feel comfortable getting food. I hope this never happens to anyone I pray this man sees this and understands other people saw that. 52.86 to be insulated. Please avoid if you have tattoos or dont look like a middle aged white person that...
