Royal India-Delmar — Restaurant in San Diego

So, how many people have been to a special exclusive Indian food event? Oh yeah that's right just us! Of those people with their hands raised, how many people think Jason is the best event buddy ever?!... We can just forget about the second question because everyone got tired of raising their hands.

I love the unique themes. There is always music people dancing and sometime belly dancer. North San Diego you guys know how to party. I am honored that ya'll let me join in on the fun!!

FOOD: My favorite item was the Bengan Bhartha, eggplant dish. It was spiced very well and I didn't know what it was at first but I jumped right in anyways. The Mango soup was also delicious and of course don't forget the Naan! There were many other dishes, but only a few really caught my taste buds.

SERVICE: Excellent! Think of your favorite Vietnamese restaurant and the service there. Yes, it's the opposite of that and I mean it in a good way. Service was excellent! Imagine giving a $100 tip to a waitress in Vegas that is the kind of service you will receive here. The owners were also very welcoming.

ATMOSPHERE: A++! Seriously a good time! A very talented dancer combined with a sin-tar player that is a good time. Music, dancing, and yeah some fire stunts equals Awesome-o.

Thank you so much Royal India for providing such a wonderful experience. I look forward to referring others to this great place. Also, the buffet special sounds good. My memory is not so good. I think it was all you can eat on either Monday or Tuesday...

This was my very first Yelp Elite Event and I'm so proud to be part of such a distinguished organization. I'm traveling from Fallbrook and I'm super-happy that all of the establishment information is located conveniently on their Yelp profile. I simply copied/pasted the address into Google and Voila!! The first thing I observed is that this Royal India is strategically located in a shopping center with other food establishments and a nearby medical complex. Business here will be booming I'm sure, so in the future I better call ahead for reservations. My fiancée and I walked in and were promptly greeted with friendly service. We chose to sit in a secluded corner that was surrounded by beautiful artistic decor and also a tv playing Bollywood movies :) The atmosphere is spacious enough for groups and yet intimate enough for couples. The entire establishment had the look and feel of an authentic Indian restaurant and the cuisine available to is on their menu was just as fitting. The waitress and servers were prompt and on-point to making sure we were served almost like "royalty". Such a great feel! Our appetizers, dinner and desert were all very flavorful and tasted just as they were described to us and this led us to "trust" the menu (something that might be difficult for others who are new to exotic dining). Everything was on-point and my photos will tell the declaration of our enjoyment. Truly a moment...
