D'sotos Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Diego

This place actually deserves 5 stars! I've been going here for years. Even the lady I know running it I met when our children were in kindergarten together. But I went there 2 days ago, no one waiting it was 430 in the afternoon. I went right up to the counter and ordered the #2. 2 cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Unfortunately, the drive home took an hour. But I didn't care. I had the great food before. I went out of my way to get it. It was TERRIBLE! That is saying it nicely. The Mexican rice was not cooked all the way, I could not even eat it. The enchiladas were chicken, not cheese, and whatever the condiments they used on top was so crunchy I had to use a knife to cut into it.

Needless to say, I was so disappointed. I pray next time it will be cheese and the ones I have had at lunchtime that are so delicious.

Thanks for all you have served for all these years. Honestly, this place is a great place. Please don't serve dishes like this again to anyone.

This place had been good to me for many years so im giving it 3 stars still . Good service , good choices, clean.

Unfortunately in the last 2 years many of the items I have had have been sub-par. They often change the style of fries in the carne asada fries.

They seems to be putting noticeably less meat and cheese , on all the items, and all the items seem a bit smaller, along with the cost going up. Surprisingly their hamburger is still good and a good value. 🤣 If you go west on miramar road there are places with better value, but dont go east to Rolbertos . they...

Went here to get tostilocos or fresas con crema and they didn’t have fruit so the guys said they couldn’t make them. I got a cup of elote which the guy charged twice for, and when it came out it was previously frozen yellow corn…. I asked for a refund and that was the only good part about this, they got me a refund. Never coming back here again, while waiting for the elote I noticed the floors in the kitchen were literally black from dirt, the broom that the guy was using to clean them was black on the tip as well. First and last time...
