Hodad's has been on my bucket list since the first day my brother and I planned our Padres Baseball trip as I'm a big Burger Fan...

Hodad's was our first stop as soon as we arrived in town from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦🍁 and Hodad's certainly did not disappoint us what to ever.

It was roughly a 17-20 min walk from the Hard Rock Hotel, and is located right on the corner of Broadway and 10th Ave. We were greeted by a very friendly and courteous server and of course asked us if we had any questions ( was just a couple )

We ordered a couple of the great Beers that they brew locally at their own Brewery. My brother and I decided to go big and both ordered the Double Burger with Bacon with Cheese ( hold the Tomato's on both ) as they just make everything slide off anyway and cause the buns on all burgers to fall apart anyways lol. Oh I had the Onion Rings ( and they were Da Bomb 💣💥 ) my brother had the Widge type Fries and those were very good also with a great seasoning on them also ( side of Ranch ) for the Onion Rings and Widge Fries is a nice added flavor as well.

Now on to the Main Event ( The BURGERS ) All I/we can say is they were OUTSTANDING and the Double Burger with Bacon and Cheese is HUGE by the way. The flavor of the Meat is amazing and has lots of flavor to it. And it's loaded up with lots of toppings ( they definitely don't skimp on any of the toppings whatsoever ). And the Pickles were delicious as well.

The Bun held up to the huge Burger right to the last bite ( no tomatoes always helps lol ) and yes we both finished them both, and all the Onion Rings and Widge Fries also. We ordered a couple more Beers just to end on another good note.

Also we certainly noticed the amazing looking ( HUGE ) Milkshakes that were coming out as well. There's absolutely no way we could have finished our Burgers if we had any of those bad boys lol.

Our service was excellent and always asked how we were doing, and if we needed anything else, and always came around to talk as well. And a couple of the others did also.

All in all it was more than worth the 17-20 minute walk and made our very first visit to Hodad's a memorable one for sure.

We also had to grab a couple of their great T Shirts as well.

So I'm sure as many have said before, do not hesitate to go to Hodad's as you certainly won't be disappointed at all 😃🤙🍔🍟🍻

Tried it one time before but in oceanside, I remembered it was a good burger, so this time I took the family. Wife got a single patty which she didn't finish but thoroughly enjoyed. We shared fries since it was big enough to be a meal with a side of ranch and BBQ sauce. The ranch was tasty and a good consistency. The BBQ was tangy and smokey sweet. They also have ketchup and hot sauce. My daughter got a chicken sandwich which was devoured. She said it was good size and had a nice crunch and taste. My son got a bacon double cheeseburger plain and he was a bite or 2 from completely eating the whole burger. He really liked it. I got a bacon double cheeseburger with everything. The burger was ridiculous to hold and bite into. So I would probably just recommend gettin a single unless you got the stomach for it. I had a bite or 2 left but didn't really eat too many of the fries. I really enjoyed the burger its probably one of my personal favorites. The burger patty is thick juicy and flavorful, the cheese is cooked melted to perfection and has that little crunch from being cooked and saltiness from the bacon compliment the way it all blends well together especially when you bite into it with that pickle, lettuce and tomatoes all together. The girls shared a strawberry shake that was really good in sweetness and milky creaminess. I personally liked the atmosphere, good seating, good music. The servers were super nice and friendly. The food came out as expected not super fast but not super long. The servers switched mid dining experience and both were nice friendly and informative. The price in my opinion was worth it.
