A real resident review
I’ve been living here for over four years, and I feel the need to share my honest experience. When I first moved in, Michael was the manager, and Marie was the assistant. Marie was the best management staff during that time. However, over the years, I’ve seen many issues that have not been addressed properly.
Michael was responsible for residents owing fees they shouldn’t have owed, and multiple complaints about this were ignored by upper management. Eventually, he was fired. After that, Elide took over as manager. Unfortunately, she seemed to favor certain residents—particularly those of Mexican descent—who received special treatment. Joe, a long-term maintenance worker, also appears to receive favoritism, as he has friends and family living in the complex.
Recently, the management changed again. The current manager, Don, has not demonstrated the professionalism expected, and Jay, the assistant manager, is often rude, lacks customer service skills, and seems to make residents upset intentionally. It appears that rules are applied inconsistently, and some residents or their friends are given preferential treatment.
Additionally, I have concerns about the authenticity of the online reviews, as many seem to be fake, possibly written by people close to management or residents with connections. There are also troubling reports of illegal activities, including drug dealing, involving staff and residents. Jay sells remotes to the garage to his friends and family so they can park in the garage.
Overall, the community environment and management conduct do not reflect the hospitality or professionalism expected. As a resident for four years, I am disappointed with the decline in service and the lack of fairness.
I hope that management will address these issues and work towards creating a more transparent, fair, and respectful community for...
Read moreAnyone who moves here will be thoroughly disappointed. Between the homeless encampments right outside one of the gates on Ninth Ave to transients constantly popping open the gate and breaking into the courtyard and finding their way into the main building that houses the laundry machines, to literally breaking the door handle mechanism out of the door and it not being fixed for well over a month. To even more issues, like for example at any given time at least 1 or 2 washers are broken at all times, repairs done to breakdown the same day again, to constant fire alarms going off throughout the whole complex in every single unit at random hours of the day and night… this complex is a nightmare. The property manager lives on site and does nothing to stop the transients from breaking their way in. In two years I have never once seen them do anything and when I brought it up to the maintenance they told me they don’t know where they are going, even though they could just make the gate to where they can just yank it open, but never have. Packages constantly being stolen, and everything in between… just utter chaos. I’m so glad to be out of here.
Edited: 2nd week of Febuary 2024... Directly right outside one of the gates that are located on 9th Ave is always surrounded by homeless, management still 2 years later refuses to do anything about it... Someone was carried out inside a body bag right outside the gate from inside a tent literally along the outside of one of the apartments the other day. Management still does nothing. You guys need to fire your property manager Michael because he does absolutely nothing. I don't know how he still even has a job. Worst property management I have ever...
Read moreI’ve only been living here for two months, and already I’ve had an expensive package stolen from the mailroom, which does have security cameras. I contacted Don, the property manager, hoping for help, and was told that there’s nothing he can do; his “hands are tied.” What’s frustrating and confusing is that just a few weeks ago, management posted photos of someone who stole another resident’s package or his , which shows that the cameras are reviewed and evidence can be shared. Yet when it happened to me, no action was taken, and I wasn’t even given the regional manager’s contact information when I asked. This has forced me to take my own security measures just to protect my belongings. It’s deeply disappointing that management does not take responsibility or actively protect residents’ property, even when cameras are in place. If you’re considering moving here, do your full research first. Management needs to do better residents should not feel like they’re on their own when theft happens. The lack of accountability is upsetting, frustrating, and unacceptable. S/o jay though because when needed , he got active . Haven’t seen him in the office lately . That’s probably why measures haven’t been taking appropriately . He went above and beyond and I was...
