Now Or Never Comics — Local services in San Diego

Hands-down, the best comic shop in all of San Diego! I moved from a suburb of Dallas a few years ago, and was shocked at how difficult it is to find a great comic shop in the city that holds the largest comicon in the country. The owner Aaron is so great. He took the time to answer some questions via messenger with me. Zach probably has some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time and that is coming from somebody who has been a restaurant manager for over a decade. Literally after one visit, he recognized me and pulled the comic that I had requested for subscribe and save as soon as I walked in. I left a message on a Instagram post that I was bummed that I did not see a comic I wanted from free comic book day, but I still had an amazing time. They actually got another shipment in and they saved it to the side for me on my most recent visit to pick up saga. I cannot stress how incredible the people here are, and how I will never use a different comic shop outside of them. I just can’t wait to show all of my friends this place when they come in town! I was in the area for a convention, and "Now or Never" just happened to be close enough to visit. Being a collector, I had to stop in and had a great time talking comis with Frankie and Zach. I spent close to 2 hours there and bought 3 Bronze Age comis that I am extremely happy with. Both Frankie and Zach are great people and are very helpful. The store has a good inventory, and the store is also very clean. There is an upstairs area that could be called a museum of action figures. There must be over a thousand, and all were reasonably priced. One of the coolest things I enjoyed was the number of large Star Wars vehicles that are displayed and for sale. I believe that almost every one of the vehicles was there, if not all. If this had been September, I would have bought them all. My second job at that time of year would have allowed this to happen. I was extremely impressed by their selection of Underground Comix, and some really really hard to find back issues. Their staff was so cool, relaxed and chill yet very engaging, helpful and quick to hunt down whatever you want. I went to 6 prior SD comic shops that didn’t have my issue, and they did, NM/M condition. I could have flipped!

They even had some of _ __ published by ___ _, which every other local shop was also sold out of. I’m not even going to mention the title, because I want to go back and buy all of them. I’ll edit this later after I do.

So please stay the hell away from Now or Never Comics until I’ve given them all my money and taken all the good stuff for myself. Just, like, wait a couple...
