We visited this location after a wedding for breakfast. A group of six called ahead to let them know we were coming. They sat us on the patio. The configuration of the tables made it a little tight the manageable. The noise from the street, which was inconvenient for conversation, but not their fault. The waitress was either new to waitressing or just didn't know how to do her job. She seemed confused. Mistakes were made with some of the menu. Items, and she acted like it was our problem to correct it by swapping items on our plates. Drink portions were ridiculous for the cost. The burrito is almost comical. The edges of the burrito that were folded over touched in the middle, as you can see in the picture. You do not order to the waitress. You have to use" The App". After you use the app to order, they do not come back and confirm the items that you wanted, which resulted in one of us not getting food because the app removed the first order when the second person was ordering. This was most likely operator error but could have been avoided with a simple conversation with a staff member that was already there.

Very cute. Its marketed as the oldest house in San Diego. We found it on google, when we were on our way to Cabrillo and wanted some coffee. They have parking in the back, which on a Saturday afternoon was quite empty. We ordered a white chocolate hot chocolate, the house coffee, a lemon tart, and the spumoni (hopefully I spelled it correctly) gelato. We decided to sit on the patio with a view of the neighborhood, which is quite cute. The hot chocolate was delicious. One of the better ones I've had in San Diego. The coffee was not the kind of pick me up my boyfriend wanted. The lemon tart was lemony goodness, that would've tasted better freshly out of the oven. The gelato was a combination of plums, chocolate chip cookies and what tasted like a vanilla based gelato with cherry sauce. It tasted better when we took a taste, but it was quite good. They have seating in the rooms upstairs which can be quiet and loud depending on the crowd. Free Wifi. Good choice for people in the neighborhood.

I’ve now ordered from Jenning’s three times, each experience better than the last. I’m a big fan of most of their breakfast items, but my favorite to date is the Breakfast Burrito (scrambled eggs, black beans, bacon, cheddar, wrapped in a warm tortilla served with salsa & fruit, $12.00). The black beans really elevate the flavor and taste that many breakfast burritos seem to lack. The salsa was delicious, although I could have used more, and the fruit was fresh and sweet. I was so impressed with the burrito I was inspired to make my own at home. Now, I refuse to make breakfast burritos without black beans. Other delicious menu items I recommend in a heartbeat include Avocado Toast with Eggs (choice of toast, avocado, 2 poached or scrambled eggs, $12.50), and the Brioche French Toast (3 piece of house made baked french toast, topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar. Served with real maple syrup, and bacon or sausage, $13.95).

I had went to this restaurant in the morning expecting a good breakfast meal considering that they have good rating. This restaurant is terrible, by far the worst restaurant I’ve been to here in Cali and I’m just visiting for a little vacation from home. I’m there with 9 other family members and I, we walk in and asked where to be seated and we ask for high chairs for the 2 little ones in the family. We get seated outside in the sun with no shade, we asked our waitress for umbrellas for more shade. We waited 10 minutes and asked for the umbrellas and high chairs, another 10 minutes go by we ask again and still nothing. We waited for our waitress to come and help us figure this out we all realized that we had a new waitress. We ask her if we can move tables around to get in the shade, her excuse was “the tables are bolted to the ground”... then we place our order, almost everyone at our table ordered French toast since it was popular. As soon as our waitress took our order and left we look at all the tables there, not a single table was “bolted” to the Ground, the tables were on dirt or on the parking spots. Bout 20 minutes go by still no high chair or umbrella and out waitress comes back and says “I have terrible news, we just ran out of French toast, our boss makes fresh something” (I didn’t catch what she said it was either bread or batter). We were so mad because French toast is on the kids menu and the regular menu and we look around and there is other families there that probably were going to get French toast as well because it’s “popular”. She also wasted our time by having us sit in the sun for roughly 20-30 minutes After taking our order to tell us the news. They should have told us bout the “news” right then and there or 5 minutes after taking our order. We were the Only black family there, I feel that when our first server switch was cuz she was uncomfortable with us. Which is also why they they didn’t give us the umbrellas and high chairs and made us sit in the sun for long time before telling us. One last thing there bottles have brown or black stuff under the cap when u open it. I was the one who noticed it and told everyone not to drink the water due to the cap because we didn’t know...

1st and last time going there. Did not even get to finished ordering so I can't speak on the food but the service interaction was disgusting. From the moment I walked in and interacted with the older woman running food; she was rude, short and unpleasant. I was not allowed to seat on the back patio because it was "closed" (this was a 10:30am, place hours are from 6am to 2pm) so only options were in direct sun or nothing at all since all other tables in the shade were occupied. I, was told to order via QR code, which is not a problem. I started to enter my order while I waited for a friend who was meeting me there. When all other tables opened up as my friend got there so we moved to another table in the shade. While we were trying to complete our order "Negative Nelly" came back out and scold us for switching to a different table without asking for permission and the fact that it was a table for 4 and not 2 because then she would not be able to accommodate a party of 4 if there were to come in (again there was no one else in the restaurant so all other tables were wide opened and were NOT bolted to the deck so could be moved easy), then she proceeded to scold us about the QR code only be good for the specific table it was placed on and that she would now have to tell the chef we were in a different table. By then we (specially me!) were over her tone so while I REALLY wanted for a very long time to come in to try it with what I experienced was enough to not want to wasted my money on shitty service for a basic breakfast meal.

To the owner; You run a breakfast place, which is not hard to find in this neighborhood. The things you have going that would have separated your establishment from other breakfast establishment would have been food options and service, but breakfast food is basic and almost the same across the bar so you don't have that going. However, service can make a HUGE difference on how your business succeeds, and your front of the house person sure made a impression on what could have been new regular patrions...anyways, we went to The Fig Tree in Liberty Station, They have NEVER in years failed to provide excellent service...

Jennings House Eatery truly knows how to kickstart your day with an exceptional breakfast experience. From the moment I stepped into this charming eatery, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The menu at Jennings House Eatery offers a wide range of delectable breakfast options, each crafted with love and attention to detail. I decided to indulge in their signature dish, the "Jennings Breakfast Platter," and boy, was it a treat for my taste buds! The platter consisted of fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, crispy hash browns, and a side of fresh fruits. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more.

What sets Jennings House Eatery apart is their commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite, knowing that they prioritize quality and sustainability. The eggs were farm-fresh, the bacon was expertly cooked to perfection, and the fruits were bursting with natural sweetness.

Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch. The staff at Jennings House Eatery went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had a memorable experience. Their genuine hospitality and attentiveness made me feel like a cherished guest rather than just another customer.

The ambiance of the eatery is simply delightful. The rustic decor, cozy seating, and soft background music create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place to start your day off on the right foot or enjoy a leisurely breakfast with friends and loved ones.

I must also mention the coffee at Jennings House Eatery. It was rich, aromatic, and served piping hot. It paired perfectly with my breakfast and gave me the energy boost I needed to tackle the day ahead.

Overall, my experience at Jennings House Eatery was nothing short of exceptional. From the delicious food to the impeccable service, every aspect of my visit was truly memorable. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I highly recommend treating yourself to breakfast at Jennings House Eatery. Trust me, you won't be...
