Not only did I think about the caramel for over a year before I was able to return to purchase more, but they were even better than I remembered them being. These are by far the best chocolate of any kind I’ve even had in my life. The owner was nice enough to ask us our wedding colors so she could decorate the bags the chocolates came in with colored ribbon for our wedding gift bags and it made it very special for us. Every time we are in San Diego I will be back. See you soon I hope!

Omg. I LOVE this place. The most amazing decadent desserts. The brownie is the best anywhere in SD. Full of yumminess. I dont like carmel and hers is to die for (and in the brownies). And the ganache on top. Omg. I go as often as I can. Worth the drive. And if never been there she will explain all the delights. Her truffles are exquisite. And her OMG cake takes 2-3 days to eat its so rich. A must go - and eat ur treat on the water and have ALL the best in SD!

The cakes and truffles are all great and they don't skimp out on flavor or size. Jennifer is friendly and helped me out with my order. Can't go wrong asking her for some advice. She makes you feel welcome, like you've been coming to her shop forever. The shop offers unique flavors as well as tried and true. Some of the flavors offered (at the time of this review) ginger, raspberry, espresso, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, Jameson, rum, champagne, and more.

We were looking for a dessert place that wasn't ice cream. We found The Elegant Truffle on Yelp and they were closing in 20 minutes. It was a short walk. Their desserts looked wonderful. I got a piece of The Evil One, which is basically a coconut cream cake. It was incredible. My wife got a piece of carrot cake that is made with pineapple instead of raisins. She enjoyed it over two days.

In the short time we were there, this seems like a take it to go place as we saw no seating, which was not a problem. They boxed up each dessert, provided us with forks, and a carry out bag. They have lots of chocolate based desserts as well, both cakes...

I decided to visit this little shop on a complete whim, and I was lucky to find parking right out front in a small parking lot. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly welcome and asked if I would like to try some samples. (Yes, please!) The four offerings I tried were the coconut cream cake, the OMG chocolate cake, the carrot cake, and the caramel. All delicious! There were also other sweets available, such as angel food cake, biscotti, brownies (with nuts), and of course truffles. I managed to limit myself to purchasing a chunk of dark chocolate covered caramel, and I will definitely be back...

We stopped in here by chance a few years ago and the service was astonishing! We felt like royalty with the attention and amount of goodies we were able to try. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and I am so pleased to say that those who stop in come back to tell me they received an amazing welcome and had a great visit!

I highly recommend this shop and the caramel. A grandmother's recipe made in the original copper pot! Words can't describe it! Thank you the Elegant Truffle staff for going above and beyond treating your visitors with such attention! Even a few years later, I'm still craving...
