If 3.5 stars was an option I’d give it that but the location is unbelievable and views are unbeatable. Personally customer service is everything. The teenager working the register should find a new job. Didn’t know anything and was rude when I asked her a few questions. The manager needs to give her more training before putting her back out there. The cooks on the other hand were friendly, I think one of those guys could just run the registers. I’m not sure why every manager or owner feels the need to put a teenage girl at lot greet guests to every restaurant? A cute face when I walk in is the last impression I’ll remember. I’d rather a humble polite knowledgeable person to greet me and take my orders over looks and so forth. Quality, customer service, and price are what stick out to most people. Was expecting the pizza to be a little more robust. But this New York style slice is decent when you’re walking around Seaport Village.
I wouldn’t go back unless I was really craving pizza while in that area so the stars will have to align if I’m walking back in there.
I wouldn’t do takeout either because there are better options that are cheaper in the area. This restaurant is really just a pizza spot if you’re in the mood while walking around seaport vlg. Which is a nice to have but there are better cheaper options...
Read moreFood was probably good, beer might have been great. However, the entire experience was ruined by Mauricio and Brynn as they charged me for items that I didn’t receive...and said I couldn’t have “pizza of the month” even though there was a whole pie freshly made. Even after the run around they gave me they refused to make it right. I’ve never seen staff sit and tell me that I messed up the order when I was very clear about what I wanted. Then Mauricio tells me the 32 oz beer is gonna be $16 and then later I purchase one from him for $12. Not sure why the prices vary so much from literally one minute to the next. Seems suspicious. They also took my receipt and didn’t give it back so I had to use my phone to show them the transaction amount. After everything, I had cold pizza and hot beer. These guys are unprofessional and I would say keep your receipt so they can’t lie to you too. $65 lunch left a horrible taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t come back as my first experience here was horrible. Brynn made no effort to achieve customer satisfaction and Mauricio mysteriously vanished from one minute to the next. Eat anywhere but Mr Motos, unless you wanna pay for food you’ll...
Read moreSo…I’ve eaten pizza all over Italy and all over the US. I consider myself somewhat of a pizza junky (connoisseur is way too fancy lol). There are many “types” and style of pizza and I love most of them! That said… the pizza at this little unassuming establishment, measured by ANY STANDARD, is INCREDIBLE!!!! The dough is delicious…perfectly crisp on the outside yet light and airy and fluffy on the inside. The sauce is simple…doesn’t try to steal the show but rather plays nice with its friends cheese and crust. I believe the cheese is a high quality whole milk mozzarella (though I didn’t ask). It had that creamy flavor you only get from “full fat” mozzarella. I should have started by saying this is Northern Italian/New York style pizza but it really doesn’t matter. It’s definitely one of the best I’ve had! Leaving the obvious for last…the staff is charming and welcoming! Like going to your buddies house for a bbq! Small but good beer selection on tap and the place is spotlessly clean. Way to go Mr Moto! I might just eat pizza the rest of the week...
