I've been to Seaport Fudge Factory so this was a first. However something happened recently that not only affects them but also another business. They participate with an app called To Good To Go. The app has a great concept, however some businesses are making the app look bad by being ignorant and irresponsible. TGTG is responsible for helping take care of food waste. You can look it up.

My problem is, December 27th, 2024 they had a post on the app. I had been visiting friends in North Park and figured I wouldn't make it in time by bus. So I paid $21.00 for a Lyft to get there. When I get there the young girl working says, "oh we don't have that tonight". I said, why would you post if you don't have it? She says, I can give you a bar. I'm not sure what a bar is, so I ask. So I asked if there were other flavors. She hands me a small white bag and I walk away. I look in the bag and I'm shocked. One chocolate bar with nuts, about 2" x 4". This was $3.99 plus tax. I did eat it. It was average, I could have done better at Ralph's which earlier in the day, I paid $3.99 for a great piece of cake. I sent a photo of this to my friend and she said, "that looks like a turd with corn in it."

TGTG concept is great for people on a fixed income, seniors and such. So STOP posting if you are not legit and only looking for free advertising!!! I've now been burned by 3 locations in different ways in just a week. And these 3 transactions are the only ones I've done. Now I'm considering deleting the app.

Happy Holidays Seaport Fudge Factory and thank you!

The other 2 locations are Hob Nob Hill and Brooklyn Pizza which I will post a review on their spots as well.

I was considering deleting the app. But why? It's not their fault these businesses are ignorant and lack responsibility. So instead, I'm going to review...

Seaport Fudge Factory is a wonderful staple at Seaport Village! If you are visiting San Diego, this place is a must do on your bucket list- you will not be disappointed! It is located right across from the historic carousel. My family was visiting (from Sacramento) for the 1st time and our experience with this shop made a lasting impression :) The customer service was excellent, and their desserts are delicious!! The variety of sweet treats and fun creations can satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth for sure!!

While making a stop for ice cream, I was searching their Instagram to help me decide what to get. I happened to see a picture of their breakable candy hearts and inquired about placing an order for my daughter’s birthday. I thought it was a long shot because I needed the order the next morning since we were checking out of our hotel. But since we were from out of town, I thought I’d take a shot… Shabby made it happen!! She is the owner of this amazing establishment, and she is the sweetest person ever! In addition, the wonderful chef who made my daughter’s candy, came in on his day off just to accommodate our order. Aaannd, Shabby carefully packaged the candy to ensure it would travel safely with us in the car ride up to Anaheim- so thoughtful of her! We absolutely LOVED this local spot and family owned business. We will DEFINITELY...

This morning I came to order an Iced Latte. I specifically asked the cashier if they had oat milk and she said yes, so then I kindly asked for my drink to be made with that. I noticed her fellow older coworker already working on the drink. I saw her pour the milk in my latte and noticed she was using almond milk. I brought that to her attention and while still being kind, I asked if she can make the drink with oat milk like I originally asked for. She said, “Can I just top it off with Oat milk?”, I said, “No can you please remake it using entirely oat milk?” I see her go to the back sink, scoop off some of the ice off the latte, and continues to just top off the drink with oat milk. I then ask her, “Did you remake it with oat milk?” And she goes back and forth with me saying she did when clearly she didn’t. Very disappointing to see how much integrity means to them and the business. I didn’t want to make a scene considering it’s the morning and I just wanted to go on with my day. I love supporting businesses that care about the quality of their products. Do better. I used to be a barista and making a coffee does not take much time at all. Laziness...

Absolutely amazing! My visit to the Seaport Fudge Factory made my day! It is by far my favorite dessert experience so far. Shabby is the owner, and she is such a gem! So full of life, love, and joy. Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth I highly recommend going just to have a beautiful interaction, and while you’re there you can check out the insanely talented artwork! They have beautifully hand crafted artwork on the cones, and on the cereal bowls made out of cereal! My friend and I got the fully loaded soft serve with chamoy, and it was so delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced. Not to sweet, refreshing, and I love a desert that doesn’t make me feel terrible after. Truly the superior dessert, and customer service. I highly recommend this spot to anyone, and I look forward to seeing Shabby and her smile again! 😊
