First off i would like to say is that they make you think it's a nice fancy hotel from the lobby point of view ALL ROOMS ARE OUTDATED!!!!...looks are very deceiving oh and another thing at night they turn the lobby lights off so that's a little strange as well. other problems i had staying here was the first room we stayed at the pull out couch was so broken when you laid on it the bed went down to the ground cause the springs was broken but never said anything and dealt with it until like our 5th night. As we stayed here in that room (201) we would go down to get breakfast and would be racially profiled as we would stand in line for breakfast the lady would ask where's your breakfast paper and only to us every morning knowing we stayed here she wouldn't ask the white folks for their paper.
rating on breakfast. The eggs were watery and nasty. The sausages taste and look like they microwave them and there's not much of a choice and you would have to wait in line for the waffle maker because there's only 2 one to make 4 small one and one to make one big waffle.
We also switched rooms and they gave us 109 and the first night we slept in there we got eaten up by bugs. I will upload pictures so u can see so they switched us to 103 as we walked in you can smell this stank smell like mold or black mold. our Ac unit was hanging and the shower rod curtain holder was broken as well. It was about to fall off the wall. Pictures will be uploaded later that night. We had problems with the hot water. It would not get hot for at least 30mins-hour after I let the shower run.
The entire time we stayed here we constantly had to ask them if the maids could clean our room because they wouldn't come by. We at least had to ask more than 2 times in a day.
The pool is dirty. The entire stay here I never once saw a pool man. The pool is cold, it's not heated and the hot tub is decent, not the cleanest though.
Most of their vending machine stuff was always sold out and not restocked. The hallways have a smell(Dog Piss) and the carpets have stains.
I thought this was a 100% non-smoking hotel and there's people smoking cigarettes in the rooms. I smelt it while walking in the hallway. You can see them standing out front smoking...
Read moreI traveled down from Seattle on a business trip and selected this hotel for its location and the Ramada reputation. Before I get into the amenities, the hotel staff was very polite and professional, and I had no customer service issues during my stay, except for their housekeeping policy. PROs: The staff was extremely polite and accommodating. The location is excellent, with access to just about everywhere in San Diego and multiple freeways nearby. Cons: This hotel is DATED and starting to show its age. The furniture is at least 15 years old and needs to be replaced. The room desk chair was missing the armrests. You can see where they are attached, but they are gone now. The window in my room opens directly across to other hotel rooms. Still, the privacy curtain is gone leaving only the black-out curtains, which means you have to choose between artificial light or everyone can look into your room which sucks. Housekeeping: I stayed here four nights and called the front desk after the third day when there were no housekeeping visits to clean my room and replace the towels. The front desk informed me that they only clean rooms upon formal request, which I found very odd, especially for a multi-night stay. One of the two ice machines was out of order, one of two elevators was out of order, and several of the other entrances around the back of the hotel were also out of order creating a LOT of inconveniences as far as getting my luggage up to the room. The air conditioner had a distinct, urine-type smell when first turned on, but luckily, I had a suite where I could just stay in the other part of the room until the smell disappeared. There need to be more outlets, and there are zero USB outlets anywhere in the room, which I've come to expect from most hotels as a frequent traveler. Ultimately, I would not recommend this hotel until they upgrade it to a modern standard. There are too many other hotels in this area and price point that are in much better shape for me to ever stay at this...
Read moreStayed here for 1 night while visiting San Diego - There were a bunch of hotels within the area and I liked the idea of having a suite and a bigger room. We got a king bed suite, which had a sort of closed off living room with a large sofa that pulls out as a double bed. There are 2 televisions so it's handy if you want to hang out outside of the bed or traveling with other people.
Unfortunately the pictures online taken from the hotel date back to 2017 and look much better than the current state of hotel now. This is more like a motel. The corridors to get to the room are open air so you are dragging dirt from the outside before coming in. First impression was how dirty the inside carpetting was for the room. They are badly stained all the way through. There needs to be a definite deep clean of these carpets or remodel to hard flooring as people seem to leave their shoes on. Sadly I felt gross walking barefoot and very unclean. Furniture is looking beat up, there are multiple scratches and areas with peeling paint on the walls.
Bathroom was spacious with a large counter, but the ammenities offered is really bare bones. Small bar of soap and there are bottles of Dove branded shampoo/conditionner drilled into the wall of the shower however ours were empty when we checked in. I had to ask front desk for more supplies.
Water pressure in the shower was extremely weak, longest shower ever and hard to wash and rinse hair...
The only redeeming thing was the king size mattress, it was actually firm and in decent condition. Didn't feel sunken in or totally destroyed.
In terms of breakfast, you are given a coupon voucher, it's your very basic buffet fare. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles. I didn't notice any yogourt, bars or fresh fruit.
Rooms are dirty, unless they remodel soon or pull out the carpet, i would stay away. There are many other hotels in this strip to...
