We ordered beef sandwich, rare beef pho with no onion, crispy tofu and shaken beef with white rice.

Pro- food is ok, nothing to rave about. The two stars are for the food. My husband said the sandwich was “fine”.

Con- Food came out all wrong. Pho came with cooked meat and full of onion. Shaken beef came with fried rice instead of white rice. When I requested to switch to white rice, the waitress insisted they didn’t have white rice as an option. I had to remind her that white rice is listed on the menu. The same waitress then brought us the pork sandwich and asked us if we wanted it because she had given our beef sandwich to another table. We declined and requested to have our beef sandwich.

Dirty spoons. Most of the spoons are sticky and dirty.

Bill also came out wrong. They doubled two of the items and the young waitress tried to tell us the total was correct. Again, we had to tell her the math was not mathing.

My daughter’s pho came with onions that she requested not to have. After picking out the onions, the soup got cold so we asked the waitress if she could heat it up in the microwave. She took the soup to the back, and completely forgot about it until we reminded her. Mind you, it was not busy in the dining area.

Overall: service is horrible. The waitress seems clueless about anything and everything. Again, food is ok if you are not too picky...

I used to work in the neighborhood and this would be my go-to pho spot. Unfortunately this place has gone way downhill after changing owners within the past ~6-10 months. I went to pick up a to-go order and the couple working at the front (not Vietnamese I might add) seemed confused about how to even ring me up for my order. I finally got home and realized the spring rolls were missing. Called to get that portion refunded, and kept getting switched back and forth between two people who couldn't figure out how to refund me but eventually claimed they the refund had been processed. I ended up filing a claim with my credit card since I never got the refund.

Besides all that nonsense, the pho was completely inedible. The meat was dripping with blood and smelled weird, and the broth was lukewarm so that the meat didn't cook when added. I ended up throwing it away after a couple bites as I was sure I would get sick if I finished it. I also noticed there was a completely new worried about food poisoning, especially after the poor customer service and also noticing a completely new set of cooks in...

Found this place on google reviews and it was very well reviewed so decided to take my girls from Colorado for a last meal before their flight. We all ordered a number 4 (pho) 2 small and 1 large, with the exception of the large m bowl, meat only and a plate of extra meat. The server got all of our orders wrong and extra meat was charged but not given. The pho was excessively sweet, did NOT TASTE AUTHENTIC and all the meat was SUPER TOUGH and chewy. I had a few bites and left my plate pretty much untouched (regardless of how much I tried to make it taste good) it wasn’t happening. The server was a bit rude after we let her know she got our orders wrong. We had to do a bathroom run before leaving and the floors were disgusting and slippery and the place is just dirty. This place is NOT the best pho spot in San Diego based on my personal opinion and experience. $12 for a small and $14 for a large +5 for extra meat NOT WORTH THE PRICE. The egg rolls were good but overpriced.

Pho Fifth Avenue saved me from being hangry at the airport. I had a flight out of San Diego but wanted to bring on the flight a decent sized meal instead of getting the typical airport food. I wanted to check other places, but Pho Fifth Avenue was the only one open early enough for me to order the food and get to the airport in time. I ordered the Bun Dac Biet, which is vermicelli noodles (think thin spaghetti made of out rice flour), with a whole bunch of grilled and fried goodness; think grilled pork, shrimp paste, shrimp, egg roll, crunchy tofu, etc. I live the fish sauce that comes with it, it truly ties the whole dish together. Lovely place, I would absolutely come back and sit down next time I’m in the area.

First time ordering Doordash from this joint bc of the Google reviews. Big disappointment. I had the Bun/Vermicelli with beef and spring rolls. Weight wise I don't think it was even 4oz of meat. It was paper thin and not satisfying for what a beef should be. They put grill marks on it like it was specially cooked. It was a waste of money for the amount of meat they give you. The spring rolls where nothing special and dry. I really didn't like my food. And the Doordash delivery was lame. And to top it off, they didn't give me any silverware or napkins. If I wasn't in a hotel, I would have to eat it with my hands. I ended up finding a better place in LA. It was cheaper and tasted way better.
