I recently had the worst carne asada burrito. Instead of being mostly meat, it was filled with beans, cheese, and sour cream, with very little meat. I always ask for no pico, as I prefer a simple carne asada burrito, so I was surprised by the bean filling. It seems they added beans as a filler. I doubt I'll return to this restaurant, as not only did they provide something different from what I ordered, but it was also quite expensive. The "carne asada burrito" and a 20 oz Pepsi cost $19 plus tax. Here are some pictures of the filling; it's bean paste. If I had checked when I was in the restaurant, I would have left it there.

Good food but very disappointed on the portions of meat per price. I purchased the Carne Asada Tacos. The meat was great with the exception of one of the tacos well over cooked meat. The guacamole as expected pretty generic to most places like this, but was good. The tortillas are definitely good quality, the best part of the meal. Price of $3.85 plus tax per taco was just not matching up. Hope they can adjust the price for the portion you actually get. Place is well kept and the customers service as expected when you have young adults working. I give it a 7/10.

Honestly...not the best Rancho Bernardo has to offer for Mexican food. I'm giving it a 2 cause the food was edible and the Jamica was good but otherwise I would steer clear ...there is a Roberto's less than a 1 min walk north from here. Definitely more authentic Mex than Primos. This was my carne "Torta" for $15.00!!! SMH. Edible with what little meat they gave me on a sub roll. no cotija chz. More of an American take on a Torta. Not that great at all. But...I was hungry. Won't be going back.

I don't usually leave reviews but this place was bad enough to motivate me to write one. Just left with my girlfriend and her mother. My girlfriend ordered enchiladas for $6. They brought out a paper plate with two bite-sized, hard enchiladas covered in a sauce that still had the tin taste of the can that it came from. It was obvious that they didn't even attempt to add anything to it. Additionally, she ordered a side of guacamole. What she was given was a salsa cup filled with a green dressing that had no resemblance to guacamole other than the color. We ordered two burritos also. One, a pollo asado burrito filled with 90% tomatoes, 10% chicken. The other, an atrocious combination of grease, eggs, and a meat that I only can hope was steak. I would rather have eaten the plants outside. I would rather have some of the gum that I felt underneath the table, than give them my money in exchange for the poison they served to us. Right now my stomach feels like I just ate a dead animal off the road. I will never go to this place again and I hope that none of my friends, family, or anyone reading this ever punishes themselves by stepping foot in this place. I'm almost certain I'm gonna dookie in my pants before I get home. Wish...

The service and food are great in this Bernardo Ctr branch. The Chile Verde...OMG! So good! My family just tried it for the first time here and we ended up ordering a big platter of it along with their awesome carnitas and chicken for our family get together! Everyone loved it! Service was excellent as well! I believe it was Rosarita who helped me with my catering order and she was an absolute sweetheart! She was so helpful in 'catering' to my wishes with regards to altering and or substituting items from the catering menu for me. When I arrived to pick it up she threw in a big platter of free chips with my order, and on top of that, because she and one of the cooks were so thoughtful to ensure that I get the very best, they asked me if it was OK for me to wait a little longer so that the rice I had with my order would be a freshly cooked batch one! I'll have you know that it wasn't them who were late in getting my food ready for me by the time I arrived, it was me who showed up too early. It was totally fine for me to wait, I just went and ran another errand that was close by, so it all worked out! Great job, great team, and of...

Sadly not what it used to be. Been in Rancho Bernardo for a while and Primos was a convenient spot to pick up a breakfast burrito or something else. Since last year I've noticed prices have gone up and quality has gone down. A Jr. burrito used to be $8.50 back in 2021, now it's $12 base and only for a couple burritos on the menu.

I usually get the Cali Surf and back then a monster Cali Surf was $15-$16. Now it's $20+. The tortilla is heavy as in very bread like and doesn't have flavor or absorb the flavors inside the burrito. The seasoning or flavors in the burrito just don't hit anymore. I had $11 breakfast burrito from a small place a bit north and it was way way better than what I've gotten here.

If you get here after 10:30 AM, you may expext waits of 20 minutes or more. Longest I've had was 35+ minutes.

The inside is nice but I never see it packed. It's not only the inflation on food ingredients, it's probably the rent on the...
