Protector Brewery Hide Site — Restaurant in San Diego

Protector Brewery has quickly become one of my go-to spots in San Diego. As a veteran, I deeply appreciate businesses that genuinely support the military and veteran community. Not just in name, but in the way they carry themselves and treat their guests. Protector Brewery absolutely stands out in that regard.

The setting is fantastic, laid-back yet refined, with a great view of the harbor that makes for the perfect backdrop to enjoy a quality craft beer. It's an ideal place to unwind, catch up with friends, and enjoy the San Diego breeze while watching boats pass by.

The staff here is outstanding, and I want to especially recognize Amanda. She was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. Her expertise on the beers and products on tap was impressive, and she made sure every guest felt right at home. It's rare to come across service that feels both professional and genuinely warm.

The beer selection is excellent, with unique, well-crafted options that reflect the passion and care the team puts into every batch. The food was also a pleasant surprise, fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want alongside a cold pint.

Happened to stop by Protector after a trip to the Midway, and we were pleasantly surprised. The selection of craft beer was plentiful, and it was all around a wonderful experience.

The girl(sadly didn’t get her name) working was very friendly and helped us get our drinks quickly. We also got to meet the owner(s) whom were very friendly and helped us feel comfortable in our visit.

The San Diego Hazy and the hazy mosaic pale ale were both very delicious. They also offer other beers from outside breweries if you want to mix it up.

The environment and atmosphere was one of my favorite aspects. From comfortable couches and a fire pit/tables outdoors, to a warm and inviting interior, this place felt like somewhere I’d enjoy hanging out with friends and family. No food was on the menu, which is okay as there are plenty of food choice in the area.

Overall, this was an excellent stop on our way back to our room, and we will be back to visit again soon....

I’ve been coming to Protector Brewery every week for over a year, and it’s easily one of my favorite spots in San Diego.
