We couldn't be happier with the dessert table and wedding cake from Sarah's Dessert Bar! From the initial consultation to the final bite, the entire experience was nothing short of spectacular. The dessert spread was one highlight of our reception. We had a delightful assortment, including tres leche cups, ube cookies and cream, cream puffs, and a colorful macaron tower. Each item was meticulously crafted, making the dessert table a true feast for the eyes. The flavors were out of this world! Working with Sarah was a pleasure. They were incredibly professional and attentive, taking the time to understand our preferences and providing helpful recommendations. The desserts were delivered on time and set up with care, allowing us to enjoy our day without any stress. From the first moment we connected with Sarah, we knew we wanted to go with her for our wedding day desserts and cake! After being disappointed by the quality of a few cake/dessert tastings from other highly rated vendors in San Diego, we were really hoping to find someone that made tasty desserts, that fit within our budget, and that could bake a beautiful and delicious cake. That’s when we found Sarah’s Dessert Bar. We called and actually spoke to Sarah herself. We scheduled a tasting and actually got the chance to sit down with her, talk about which desserts were our favorites, and hear recommendations from her on what desserts were most popular with guests at previous weddings/events. Sarah was very accommodating in letting us choose a cake type/filling combination that wasn’t on her menu. As we got closer to the wedding, Sarah was very communicative and made us feel reassured that she would take care of everything on the big day. As the days counted down, we found ourselves really excited to eat more of the desserts from Sarah (we even asked her to set aside a small box for us in case the desserts were eaten quickly). The salted caramel macarons, lemon bars, Lemon trifle cups, and Chocolate pot de creme were our absolute favorites. On the day of the wedding, Sarah delivered all of the desserts and set them up beautifully on the dessert table. All of our guests would not stop talking about how delicious the desserts were, and when we cut our cake, we didn’t want to stop eating it after the first piece. Where do I even begin? Sarah is a masterful creator. The extraordinary flavors, textures, presentation, and superior quality all add up to the notion that her ultimate goal is to entice innocent people with her decadent offerings. It was my girlfriend’s birthday. She did not want a cake. She wanted cupcakes. Got it. I looked online for a place downtown. She was one block away. Excellent. Mine was not one of the big orders like those in the other reviews. She had no problem with it. And now I know why. She knows that is all that it will take. She handed me the order and smiled. She knew that I’d be back again. I work at a luxury high-rise in the downtown area. I told everybody and their mama about those cupcakes.
