I'm so sorry that I have to write this bad review because I love coming here but tonight's service has been really bad tonight. It's so bad we are joking we should uber eat food here. I'm here with a group of friends and we have been waiting for over 40min. I had to waive down a waitress and ask her if any one is attending us. After three waitresses somebody finally comes and apologizes for the delay. She said, I'm sorry , it's a busy night and the kitchen is backed up. We arrived at 8pm and it now 9:22pm and we have not received our food. They only thing the waitress has brought us is a cup of rice and sake. It's really really bad tonight. It's so bad and we are all hungry and we have not received anything to eat. The waitress brought us a few free Sapporo's but I'm sorry, it's not good enough. Oh yes, she mentioned that it's a busy night, but isn't Saturdays nights always a busy nights???? To me that is completely unacceptable. Every Saturday is a busy night and someone should be supervising the tables making sure everyone is being serviced properly. And I really hope that somebody from this establishment reads this bad reviews and responds with something better than just a sorry. I'm letting this establishment know that you are offering really really bad service and it's very disappointing. I've talked to three waitresses to complain. I can go on and on and on about how bad the service has been tonight and it's so sad because I live eating here. I'm...

I suggested this place for lunch when my daughter went to jury duty. I had been there before and it was ok. It's crowded, loud and the service was slow.

We weren't in a hurry. So it was ok. We all ordered bento boxes for lunch. My daughter and my mom had the vegetarian bento box. I ordered the chicken.

The waitress did not ask if there was anyone with food allergies at our table. Our food arrived. The tempura was MIXED. It didn't specify what that meant on the menu. I assumed it meant mixed vegetables. It didn't. There was imitation crab and a shrimp amongst the tempura. I'm allergic to shellfish. I stopped the waitress and asked her if there was anything else shellfish in the egg roll or Gyoza. She informed me that the description of all the tempura items was on the previous page in the menu. And that the crab was imitation.

The waitress acted like I ordered the menu item on purpose.

I won't be back. Ever. The sushi wasn't rolled tight enough. It fell apart when you dipped it in soy sauce.

The vegetables I did get in my tempura tasted like they cooked it 10 mins before. It wasn't crispy at all.

I couldn't hear my mom from across the table because the music was so loud.

They are damn lucky I didn't mistakenly eat the shrimp or crab. I would have had a very bad reaction.

It's only a matter of time before it happens to...

Vegans beware! There are a lot of inconsiderate people that don’t care if you “accidentally” eat animal products. A few weeks ago I ordered a vegan meal for my husband and me which included miso soup, the waiter knew my order was vegan but later I found out that their miso soup is not vegan when a different server kindly asked if it was okay if the soup I was ordering had animal products in it. I let it go assuming it was a mistake until it happened again last week with their sauces. I told the waiter that my entire meal was vegan and asked if he could throw in vegan sauces and vegan spicy mayo, he did as I asked but on a separate occasion when asking for vegan spicy mayo I was informed that they don’t have vegan spicy mayo??? Some people simply don’t care about vegans and might even take pride in feeding them animal products but it’s not their choice what we or what anyone else choose to put into our bodies, let alone the fact that someone can be allergic to dairy or animal products in general (like my husband is). Other than this we really enjoyed eating out in this restaurant, they have a lot of flavorful vegan options at a good price, just make sure you’re very specific so...

Sushi 2 has many vegan/vegetarian sushi, appetizers, and bento options (in addition to the usual non-veg options) so this place is perfect for both vegans and meat eaters to enjoy together. The vegan crunchy roll was good and had deep friend tofu, cucumber, avocado, crunchies (panko) and sauce. The vegan Shauna handroll was also good. I had the vegan 5 spice wings and they were alright, I think I might prefer one of the other options and will try one with sauce in the fitute. They have many vegan wing options so this is a major plus. I haven't dined in because the location is downtown and parking is so limited, but if you do a pick up order, there is a yellow curb in front if Citi Bank that you can use for temporary parking to run in and pick up your order.

Lots of vegan options! Genrally I try and avoid sushi places since they're usually a recipe for failure if you don't eat fish. Not so woth this place. The food is good and the prices are fair. I tried vegan san diego sushi, house brussel sprouts, and crispy avocado. The crispy avocado wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. If you really like avocado, it'd be good. Otherwise, it more or less tastes like cooked avocado. The frying doesn't add anything to it. The teryaki sauce on the brussel sprouts was fantastic. The sushi was great. The only other competent vegan sushi I can compare this place to is Shojin in LA. This place isn't quite as good, but it's much more affoardable. You aren't going to end up spending $50 herr and still feel hungry.

Walked here friendly service started with the ca egg rolls and the cream cheese filling with the Chipotle sauce was amazing, asked for a borter X and a Miso soup, the soup was good but the borter was amazing, then I had the rising sun combo, the black magic sushi is good, the pesto on the salmon on the mama mia is amazing, the fire cracker has a very unike flavor and its spicy I like it. My girlfriend had a vegetarian and tofu rolls, she says she likes them but that they had to much avocado for her. I really like the ambient and the music and it's great to just come and hang out with your friends, or even a date, and it's right on downtown great place to hang out and relax.
