So the posted hours are super deceptive. This location has a reputation for not answering the phone close to or right after 8PM, causing me to have to drive to this location if we want to order for dinner. After 3 unanswered calls I was able to make it in at 8:15 to be told the kitchen was closed, 3 tables full of customers, I wanted to go Udon. Posted hours are 8:30 PM. This is the fourth time something like this has happened to me trying to get dinner for me and my family. This is super disappointing, and a reminder why I try to avoid visiting Sushiman. If you live in Lemon Grove do yourself a favor and go to another restaurant not in a super inconvenient lot 10 mins away from the major intersection. Bad customer service. Sushiman is definitely a great place for great portions, when you order sushi it comes with salad,gyozas and edamame. Their food is on the average side nothing really stands out as excellent but none of it is bad. Their sushi rolls are a good size and good quality,They have free refills on sodas but they only have one size which is fine. Everytime I've eaten here it has been a good experience, friendly staff and your food gets to you pretty quickly after ordering. The location is a bit on the small size so during busy times it can get cramped. I have not tried their sashimi so I cant speak on the quality of that. I walked in to get sushi at 815 and waited in line for a good 5 mins there were two people ahead of myself. I was very excited to finally getting my sushi crave fufilled after a 2 month craving. I waited patiently and after about 5 mins the cashier says sorry the person before you is our last customer. We can't take any orders after a certain time.... And I said really? I've been waiting in line for 5 minutes and your open sign is on doors open ready for business!? And you won't take my order? The cashier blew me off and was really rude to me.
