This place is really cool, great vibes, the staff is friendly and the coffee is good.

BUT...

They had some event going on today and got bamboozled into paying for a wrist band I didn’t need or want to see the vendors and I guess for admittance, since we supposedly snuck by the door girl. We just came to grab a coffee real quick since we live down the street, was told with wrist band it gets you a “free” coffee... it didn’t. We got a nitro pour and an espresso which is like 7 bucks normally. With wrist bands coffee and tip we paid 20 bucks to be in and out since we weren’t there for their event. That being said it won’t deter me from going back, just maybe think twice on how you set up events for the people who are actually not there for an event and just want...

& 1 Check-In My friend and I were looking for a new cafe to try and stumbled upon this one. The pictures on yelp looked a lot different than the cafe itself. We personally didn't want to sit inside and drink/eat because it felt dirty and crowded with furniture. The staff were nice and made our drinks quickly. When we went the espresso machine was broken so we couldn't order any lattes. I wouldn't personally come back here. There are lots of other cafes out there. Food/drink review: Matcha: (2/5) I had high hopes when she was mixing the matcha, but once she poured it over ice it was literally all milk. I wouldn't order again. i went to every coffee shop in Ocean Beach. This place is by far the best all around in terms of "coffee shop". Definitely not a Starbucks, this place has a lot of heart. Such a unique environment. Staff was dedicated. Shot of espresso was solid (8/10). Pricing was fair. This is a great example of what a cafe, coffee shop should be... dare we say the template!?

Note, this place is rather eclectic and "weird". This is a solid spot for culture but maybe not the place i would take my religious grandmother or corporate professional meeting. But if it was an artist meeting with a newspaper for an interview, this is the place i would go. Know what i mean? Anyways, great...
