I have walked by their location In OB many times - I have seen people walking up and down Santa Monica with kettlebells or taking a quick run around the block, but honestly I never even thought about joining. It looked too much like crossfit to me, and I still have a bit of PTSD (and a shoulder injury) from the few crossfit workouts I have tried, so I figured this place with the cool logo was not for me. Maybe you can relate? Fast forward to this summer and a colleague of mine was raving about this place and the workouts at the Bay Park location. It was summer break (I am a high school teacher and coach). I asked her a few questions about the workouts and I was intrigued. What she was explaining was not really crossfit, and it was not HIIT or BootCamp either... It was something different. Strength with cardio and the workouts are tailored by cycles showing forethought and insight into some pretty advanced physical training expertise. Oh, did I mention I am a triathlete and swim, water polo, cross country and track coach? I know a thing or two about the importance of cyclical training - and no, that does not just mean that you have chest/back day and leg day. I looked at the membership price and it seemed a bit steep to me, but they had a 30 for 30 deal, so i thought, āwhat the hell, I will just try it and cancel it if I donāt like itā. I fully intended on canceling, if I am being honest. Even with the well-thought out workouts, it still seemed kind of pricey. Fast forward to about two months later, and here I am writing a 50-star review, so you can figure that I liked this place⦠no, LOVE this place. Here are my top ten reasons why you should join P360.
The workouts are created in cycles and you know what you will be doing each cycle and why. You can even track your PRās and weights on the app, so you can see how much you are improving!
The workouts are created to meet you at your current fitness level. Every move can be modified and the coaches will help you figure out what is right for you.
THE COACHES. They are present during the workouts, they offer help with form without hovering over you. They are there if you need them, but they donāt judge or hover over you during the workouts.
The first 30 days are $30. Itās a steal.
After those 30 days, if you donāt like it you can cancel. If you do stay you can PAUSE your membership anytime, and the app and online portal are both easy to use.
The monthly price might seem like a bit much, BUT ask yourself how many monthly gym membership dues you have paid for but didn't really use? I can easily say that I have probably spent thousands of dollars on other gyms and in all of those years NEVER saw the results that I have seen after 2 months of P360.
The people. I will be honest, at my age I am one of the older people at the gym, but I never feel old when I am there, the mix of ages and levels of athleticism are all over the place -n and I have never felty old or unwelcome when I am there. Everyone is helpful, kind and we all just want to help each other succeed. Crossfit cool vibes without the crossfit cult vibes.
The gym is clean and well-maintained.
The location is convenient.
