Absolutely horrible service! Do not dine here, their atmosphere and customer service is completely off balance with no care for their customers at all. We came to the front door and where not greeted, waited to be seated after a few minutes I needed to use the restroom so I left my husband at the host stand as I walked to the restroom. As I walked to the restroom I was approached by a woman that later claimed to be the owner of the restaurant. She was very rude and told me I could not use the restroom until I bought something. I explained to her how my husband has been. And we have not been approached, but we are customers and are planning on having dinner at the restaurant. Forced me to go to a table 1st sit down and order something and order for me to use the restroom mind you I had to go to the restroom very bad. The restroom door had a code key on it so I couldn’t go even if I wanted to. After we were seated, I attempted to go to the restroom and she still did not allow me to go until Something and that’s when I got very frustrated with her, I come from 20 years in the hospitality industry. I would never treat a customer Me, then she pointed out a sign saying she has the right to refuse to give service to anyone. And that’s when we walked away and left the restaurant. I feel that we retreated very badly as if we were some type of Homeless off the street, Has a small business owner of three businesses I will make sure to let all of my affiliates know that this place is not worthy of any of...

I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE MOCOZY AGAIN. Now it's called ZZ:AN. Sushi and SOJU. I went to this establishment today on April 21, 2024 at 2 :15 pm for a dine- in along with a friend. I ordered a simple chicken entree. Rice, chicken with 2 fried shrimp items. THE SERVER BRINGS OVER MY FOOD AND IT'S ICE COLD LITERALLY. 30 minutes of waiting, and i get COLD FOOD. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS ON MARCH 24, 2024, SAME ORDER ICE COLD. ON A TO-GO ORDER. RATHER THAN COMPLAIN, I WANTED TO GIVE THEM A 2ND CHANCE. MISTAKES HAPPEN. I EXPLAINED TO THE SERVER TENDING THE REGISTER ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME. I LIVE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD JUST 5 MINUTES AWAY. I ASKED TO BE COMPENSATED. THE MEAL WAS $21.55. WHICH IS NOT CHEAP. I MEAN EVERYTHING WAS ICE COLD AS IF THEY TOOK IT OUT OF A REFRIGERATOR TO SELL IT. THIS IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND JUST BAD BUSINESS. THEIR MANAGER WHEN THE SERVER CALLED TO EXPLAIN THE INCIDENT OFFERED A FREE SODA SERIOUSLY??? THEN ASKED ME FOR A PICTURE OF MY CREDIT CARD???!! I'M NOT DOING THAT! NO! WHY? NEVER DID GET AN ANSWER. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW RESTAURANTS LOSE BUSINESS AND EVENTUALLY GO OUT OF BUSINESS. A DELAYED APOLOGY AFTER THEIR SERVER TOUCHED THE FOOD HIMSELF TO FIND OUT IT WAS COLD. THE COOK APPARENTLY BACK THERE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PREPARE THE MEALS. GET ANOTHER COOK. I CAN SEE ONCE BUT TWICE. UNACCEPTABLE. I COMPLETELY LOST MY APPETITE BECAUSE MY MEAL WAS RUINED...TWICE. THE MANAGER WASN'T CONCERNED AT ALL ABOUT THE SITUATION THAT HAPPENED. FROM ZERO TO 10...

Came for lunch and got the $20 lunch combo with pork belly and a rainbow roll. I assumed the pork belly was on its own because the menu didn’t say it comes with anything under the lunch combo but it actually comes with a big bowl of rice and veggies! It was tasty! Also added 2 shrimp tempura for only $4 which is a great price but the quality of the tempura was just ok, not great. Also ordered the 2pc Ikura (salmon roe) and that was very tasty, the 2pc seared tuna nigiri was good but could have had a nicer sear on it and better quality tuna, lastly the 2pc scallops (not pictured) were just ok, nothing to rave about. My favorites were the salmon roe, seared tuna, and pork belly.

The server was very nice and very attentive. The restaurant has a bar like atmosphere, several TVs playing K-pop which is fun. One thing I really disliked were all the flies inside, I was constantly swatting at the flies so they wouldn’t touch my food and the tables around me were doing the same thing. We visited Zzan Sushi & Soju - Downtown and had such an amazing experience! The atmosphere really felt like being at a Korean bar, which made the whole evening so fun and enjoyable. The highlight for us was definitely the Budae Jjigae and Grilled Daechang Gopchang—the flavors were absolutely perfect, the portions were generous, and they paired so well with drinks. Honestly, we kept wishing there was a location in Buena Park (where we live) because there are so many restaurants here, yet none that serve food like this. It was so delicious that we left already feeling sad we couldn’t come back the next day! The service was also excellent—the staff were attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Everything about this place was just perfect. We highly recommend it, and next time we’re in San Diego, we’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Glad to find some Korean food in downtown San Diego. I’m visiting from out of town and was craving comfort food. Quite expensive for fishcake udon soup but it was good. I got the fried Mandu/gyoza because of a special. Usually I don’t buy dumplings when I eat out since they usually taste solid but never wow me. I was surprised I enjoyed them as much, of course the filling is good, but the texture stood out to me! It was so light and crispy - idk if it’s the skin or temperature they fried it but I looooved it. I just Wish they did not charge extra for kimchi, at least for the Korean dishes 😢 Service was good. Unsure if I’d come again for the traditional korean dishes, but I want to try the sushi and ofc get the dumplings. it was very clean and organized inside
