I've been to Brooklyn Pizza a few times. My experience has always been good. However something happened recently that not only affects them but also another business. They participate with an app called To Good To Go. The app has a great concept, however some businesses are making the app look bad by being ignorant and irresponsible. TGTG is responsible for helping taking care of food waste. So stop using it for free advertising if you have no intentions of being legit!!!! You can look it up.
My problem is, December 21st, 2024 they had a post on the app. The location is only about 4 blocks from where I live. When I get there, the employee acts like he has no idea what I'm talking about. I show him the app and my purchase. He turns, grabs 2 slices of pizza and some unrecognizable garlic roll and puts it in the oven. When I get home I see what I have and one slice of pizza is so burnt around all edges it wasn't edible. I could have went to Po5 for a better deal and better food.
TGTG concept is great for people on a fixed income, seniors and such. I've now been burned by 3 locations in different ways in just a week. And these 3 transactions are the only ones I've done. Now I'm considering deleting the app.
Happy Holidays Brooklyn Pizza and thank you!
The other 2 locations are Hob Nob Hill and Seaport Fudge Factory which I will post a review on their...
Read moreNew review: no longer deserves 5 stars, I didn't want to come back and edit my review but this place is very unreliable. They never answer their phone so it is extremely hard to place an order in advance. Their online ordering never works and always says the place is closed. The pizza is so good... I truly believe the only reason they never have business is because of how hard it is to place an order over the phone. I come here all the time and eat inside but today I wanted a whole pizza to take home instead of eating a slice there. No luck. Old review: Best pizza place in SD! I live in the Little Italy area of San Diego and this place is still better than the pizza places I live next to (Landini's, Filippi's, etc.) A Brooklyn Pizzeria makes pizza for the people who love the classic taste & greasiness of pizza and crispy crust! Their crust is my favorite, NEVER soggy! This place also offers stromboli, calzones, salads, and he can make you any pizza you want! If you like tasty pizza and kind service, this place is for you! Food is always fresh, I have never been disappointed. 10/10 I am very grateful he gave me a chance to see his work station, I have never met someone so passionate about their craft....
Read moreWe placed an online order for an associate's birthday at our office downtown Friday, Oct. 25th. A Brooklyn Pizzeria downtown was the Birthday Girl's choice as she is a vegetarian. These comments are not meant for A Brooklyn Pizzeria directly. They are to caution any customer who chooses to order online. After the order did not arrive on time, we contacted the restaurant to check on the status of our order. A Brooklyn Pizzeria never received our order. After researching the situation, we learned their online ordering is handled by "Menu Star Food Ordering" not Grub Hub as advertised. Beware restaurants and customers. There is no connection from this company to the restaurants they represent for online delivering. We reordered by telephone directly through A Brooklyn Pizzeria. Our order arrived in a timely manner. Even though an 1/2 hour late, the Birthday gathering did happen and the food was great. However, Menu Star Food Ordering had made one attempt to be paid but it did not go through my associate's credit card. The bottom line, A Brooklyn Pizzeria's staff and food are authentic. Don't trust the online ordering process. Beware of Menu Star...
