This is a delightful tea room. The ambiance is quaint and cozy. The food is tasty but the peach scone was not served warm from the oven and was therefore a little damp and missed top marks for that. Scones are a critical foundational component of a good tea and I hope this will be something that is considered to enhance the taste for their customers. The potato soup with fresh chives on to and small crisp crackers was very good! The tea I ordered was vanilla almond and was decaf. It was simply scrumptious!!! The tea sandwiches, especially the chicken salad croissant and the turkey provolone were especially good. The delightful crisp crackers with basil pesto on top of the turkey sandwich was a unique and memorable taste sensation! Of course chocolate dipped strawberries are always a hit and the lemon Bundt cake was yummy as well! Plus the prices were great and I will most definitely be going back! I must say the wooden back chairs at the table we were seated at next to the window hurt my back. We asked and were allowed to move to the wing backed chairs with pillows which made all the difference to us as we are in our 70ās. We saw many happy people celebrating tea together and at least two sets of young girls with their momās dressed up and learning the joys of a tea party. Made me smile! Thanks! And please cook those scones right before serving them warm from the oven⦠it really does make a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally quaint cute tea shop; took my mom, my sister and her toddler daughter to have an early Mother's Day celebration. So many places were booked on the weekends, including them, but weekdays will be the best time to go.
They were really accommodating and versatile in lots of areas: our appointment time (because you can never be on time with a toddler), the RSVP changed from 4 adults (someone backed out), and the menu. Tea fare wasn't bad and the price is very affordable per person; the best items were definitely the scones. I would suggest offering refills of the devonshire cream, since all 3 adults plus a 4 year old didn't really have enough... My favorite part of scones is putting on the cream...
My scone was a gluten free one, actually -- not bad at all; most of the time I would have expected another non-bread substitute, but no, they surprised me with a real scone, which is awesome. Unfortunately, if you decide on their signature tea fare, there is no gluten free cake, but -- they bumped me down a tier, which I appreciate. My sister and mom are not sweet toothed, and found the cake to be too sweet.
Personally, I think this place is worth a revisit, despite being small, and its situated in a very pleasant down-town area where you can walk around and check out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy mom and I have been scouting SoCal in search of the best teahouse, and I'm ready to "spill the tea" on Enchanted Rose Tea Parlour. š Enchanted Rose has now made it to the top of our list! The food was good overall, though nothing to write home about. My favorite part was the blueberry scone with all of the accoutrements (Devonshire cream, lemon curd and blueberry jam) and the broccoli & cheddar soup. Let's not forget the tea! There were so many options: from decaf to caffeinated; from fruit-based flavors, to flavors with more of a nutty note and everything in between. The berry plum and coconut almond blends that we tried were lovely. While you're enjoying your meal, don't forget to check-out the cute atmosphere. The gift shop also serves as decorations for the room. There are a lot of different trinkets to suit your fancy. I personally couldn't resist the adorable necklaces with teapot charms. The wonderful service and atmosphere are what truly boost my rating to 5 stars. The staff, customers and even the surrounding businesses all added to the pleasant ambiance. If you really want to feel like a beautiful princess out for the day to enjoy a warm spot of tea, this is the...
