Bought a few screens from Ace Hardware in San Dimas over the past few months. I had to take one of the screens back four times because the screen tab kept coming off. They fixed the tab each time, but didn't make adjustments to the screen being too large. Now after they made the screen the wrong size they told me I had to pay extra to have it adjusted again because it was over 30 days since I bought it. It was made wrong. I had to take it back four times and they wanted to charge me more money to fix it correctly. I spoke to someone on the phone, who said he was the manager, about the situation and he said that that was their policy. I explained if that was the case after coming back four times to have it fixed that I'll never go back there again. He said that's fine with me. ...

I always find what I need at my San Dimas ACE HDWE Store and when I need help they alway have been able to help me. I recently had an old brass sprinkler head that I was trying to replace. I was told by Lowe’s that it wasn’t made anymore. I went to San Dimas ACE and was helped by Ray Banker who confirmed they couldn’t get it … BUT he did have a brass nozzle part that would screw on to fix it. The brass sprinkler head was over 27 years old and he offered to fix it for me, having to use a Vise grip to get old nozzle off. The part was only $4.99! Ray went beyond to be of service to me as a customer. I will be 80 years old in September and at most other places would not received this kind of service.. They always greet you immediately and get you to the exact aisle for what you need.NO endless wandering down football field-length aisles searching for help in an orange vest!! Friendly, knowledgeable staff offer swift service & ready know-how. I recently got shown these new drywall screws that don't require a plastic anchor. Wow! What a godsend!
