If your looking for compassionate and humane people who provide excellent customer service san dimas grain is definitely NOT the place to go. I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE to say the least! I had bought a rescue kitten there a few months back, there was nothing wrong with it. well that was until I went back to get it neutered there. I had dropped off the kitten the night before, they had put it in a cage by itself in the back. When I returned the following day I found my cat in the display window mixed in with 10 other rescue kittens. The owner had mistakenly placed it there. Shortly after my kitten became gravely ill. He was vomiting, had diarrhea, wouldn't eat or drink anything, goopy eyes, sneezing ect... I had to immediately take him to a vet and when I called to complain the owner was extremely rude. She refused to take any accountability for her actions, she even mocked me and hung up on me. Is that what you call quality customer service? I was appalled and couldn't believe the things she was saying. It only further added insult to injury. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. They are a poor excuse for a pet shop and if your looking to buy an animal I would suggest looking elsewhere, its obvious that their animals are unhealthy and they are not taking proper...
Read moreI came in during my lunch right now and just left. I was going to buy more cat and dog food but had a question to ask. I walked from the back to the front desk. No greeting by this Female worker. Then later that same female worker came out to tell me if I need help I can go to the back. Very rude. So I walked to the back and asked a male worker my question and then she came over behind the register beside him. I was asking if they help with rescued kittens. The boy didn't know so she said no they deal with there own rescued pets. She then asked if mine were fixed. I said I have one scheduled and the others were to young until 4mos. (according to the vet). Ive been getting them treated however by the vet. She told me no they can be fixed still. Very rudely... I had asked if they know other places I can check with. She told me I can contact the human society and he said some place in Chino. Anyway her demeanor was unfriendly and rude. Not good customer service and eye contact. As if I was bothering her. I said thank you. Sorry to bother you. Then finally her demeanor changed & her tone: saying oh your not bothering me. But it was fake and too late now. I won't be shopping there...
Read moreCame to buy hay but the bags were to big for my needs. While here, I noticed the rabbits are not housed properly. One rabbit was in a cage in the sun with no where else to go for shade or shelter. As a seasoned rabbit owner, I could tell that this rabbit was experiencing heat distress. I had to notify an employee that the rabbit was in heat distress and he put an ice pack in the cage. It is recommended by many vets and other experts that rabbits should have at least a 10 ft x 10 ft space to walk, run, stretch and stand properly. This space should not have a wire bottom because rabbit feet do not have paw pads, just thin skin and fur. They need small huts to retreat into for shade from possible sunshine or in order to hide and feel safe. I have visited other pet stores like one in Malibu that sells bunnies and they have them in a large pen on the ground and seem very happy. To the owners of the store, seeing the rabbits this way made me feel like not supporting this business at all. If you need assistance with a better housing solution for the rabbits, I would be happy to come and volunteer my time to help come up with ideas to...
