Ayola — Restaurant in San Francisco

This place was decent, but definitely not the best. I think they actually messed up my order cause what I received looked nothing like chicken and had no hummus. So I originally asked for the chicken gyro wrap with hummus and lettuce.. and what I got was lamb/beef gyro wrap with just lettuce.... With that said, though the gyro had some flavor, it was very dry. Without the hummus, I could barely eat a bite of the wrap without drinking some water right after. The fries I thought were alright. You could tell that they were not previously frozen, but it wasn't "amazing". Though the fries was definitely better...

Just tried this place out for delivery. It is what I was looking for exactly. No idea, somehow that day I was just thinking about gyros. Decided to look around on Google (and even Reddit), and decided that it seemed Ayola would be the place to satisfy my gyros craving.

Tried their chicken gyros, chicken shawarma, and lamb & beef gyros. Surprisingly, the chicken gyros was the most tastiest / flavourful one. I was expecting the lamb & beef gyros would be the one. It's a nice surprise.

Definitely will come back again for the chicken gyros if I somehow...

I needed a quick meal before a meeting and this was the perfect place to grab one. Cheap, fast, easy, and good. I got a gyro and it was pretty filling. The gyro was really good and tender, the veggies were pretty fresh and the pita was good. I'm not a fan of tiziki sauce, so I had them put just a little bit. Even with just a little the gyro was full of flavor. They also have hot sauce too. That is really good, but grab a cup of water because it's on the spicy side.
