The Bird is everything you ever wanted in a fried chicken sandwich and more! Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a casual lunch outdoors, they've got you covered. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying your meal any way you like.

Be prepared for a popular spot! The Bird gets busy, but their ordering system is super efficient. You can order right at the counter, grab a buzzer, and enter the number on the screen to link it to your order. Even better, they have QR codes at the tables so you can skip the line altogether and order online. It's a lifesaver during peak hours.

Sure, The Bird might be a tad pricier than your average fast food joint slinging chicken sandwiches. But trust me, it's worth every penny. This is gourmet fried chicken on a whole new level. I recently tried their classic fried chicken sandwich, and it was pure perfection. The chicken itself was unbelievably tender and juicy, cooked to absolute perfection. The sauces were incredible, perfectly complementing the flavor without overpowering it. Each bite was an explosion of deliciousness. Honestly, I could've easily devoured another one!

The service at The Bird is fantastic. They hustle to get your order out quickly, so you won't be waiting long for your fried chicken fix. Just a heads up about the restrooms – they have a lock code you get from the staff. While it's nice to have a secure bathroom, be aware that the code can be used by anyone, even if you've locked the door from the inside. Just a friendly tip to keep an eye on the door if you're using the restroom.

Overall, The Bird is a 5-star experience for anyone who loves incredible fried chicken. Don't miss out...

I was just looking for some restaurants that had some nice chicken. We just wanted a restaurant good enough for lunch. We did want a nice restaurant because we were only going to be in SF for the afternoon. I thought this restaurant was going to be pretty average from the pictures. I did not expect it to be this incredibly delicious. By far the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Beats any burger and their curly fries are amazing. The sandwich tastes completely different to what I usually get in my area, which I actually like. The fries are perfectly crispy and the chicken is super juicy and perfectly cooked. I didn’t really think the sandwich would be that great since it had coleslaw in it and no tomato but it was still great. Unlike most other fast food restaurants that have a spicy burger that isn’t actually spicy, such as Burger King, The Bird’s is actually spicy. They also made the food extremely fast for how much we ordered(4 chicken sandwiches, 3 curly fries, and 3 legs). The sandwiches are pretty large and they give quite a lot of curly fries. The price may seem high but for how much food they give you, it’s completely worth it. They may not have a large amount of options but I find restaurants with a lower amount of options have much better food. The staff also seemed really nice. I may have only been here once, but this is my new favorite fast food restaurant. I would go here much more often but I live about 40 minutes from SF. It also beats many regular restaurants as well. My brother and parents also enjoyed it a lot. I highly recommend...

TLDR: Great place to get a quick bite to eat. Their chicken sandwich is well worth the wait in line and their service overall is fast and efficient.

The Bird is a small chicken sandwich shop, where the only thing everything on the menu is about their chicken. When I went, it was slightly drizzling and the line was out the door. Despite this, the wait didn't last more than 15 minutes. The person who took my order was extremely charismatic, to the point that I was a little shaken when trying to respond to her. The other employees might also be like this but it might be because she goes to the Academy of Arts University right next door, so she's practicing her composure. Regardless, the food took less than 5 minutes to be ready and called.

I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and my friend ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich. Both were great, the chicken itself was juicy and flavorful and the crust on the outside was crunchy and satisfying. Instead of plain lettuce and tomato, they use a coleslaw which help to balance out the fried chicken's heat. The spicy one wasn't too spicy, if you regularly get spicy, you should be fine. We also got the curly fries, but they were nothing too special. They tasted like traditional curly fries.

Overall, I really like this place. Lively atmosphere and quick service. The staff had a lot of character and added to the carefree atmosphere. Whether you want to eat there or take it to go, there really isn't a better chicken sandwich in...

This is the first food stop that was made on my recent trip to the city and booyyyy, was it an awesome surprise! You can either order with a server/cashier at the counter or you can order for yourself on a tablet setup nearby. I decided on the spicy chicken sandwich and my wife got the regular chicken sandwich. We also shared an order of loaded tots, I think they were. The spot wasn't huge, but enough space for several parties of 2-3 or more to feel comfortable. There was also some seating on the sidewalk out front. Neither my wife nor myself are particularly fond of slaws but we decided to roll with it here and that was a great decision! As we both chomped into our respective sandwiches we both had similar thoughts... "this tastes like REAL chicken". By that, we meant... not like fast food chicken varieties (yes, even your fav fil-a spot too). These were fresh, juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, real pieces of chicken! The spice on the spicy sandwich was hot/perfect! Again, the slaw really complimented the flavors here. If I ever return to San Fran, I would definitely return here for a quick bite at some point during my visit. 5 Stars from me!
