Updated Review!

Bacon Bacon has won me over again. In the past two months I've had only good experiences. Ingredients and dishes haven't been out of stock, service has been friendly and quick - and most importantly of all - their grill is working and they're on their full menu again! If you're looking for heart-stopping and delicious greasy breakfast I haven't found any better than their full menu, and I still drop in for drip coffee at least twice a week. Bacon Bacon is back, and my heart is rekindled!

Old Review: **

I want to love the Bacon Bacon cafe, I really do. I'm loving on momentum long after the fire is out. Bacon Bacon, you've changed and so have I.

When we first met, it was like it was meant to be. If just moved to the neighbourhood and you had cheap coffee. I fell for you gooey sandwiches, cheap drip coffee and friendly staff, and overlooked your faults like broken wifi, lack of hustle and second rate atmosphere. You charmed me with your $0.10 mechanical pig and cute logo colour scheme, so I dealt with the facts you overcharge for a cafeteria and you're always out of something without posting it.

They say love helps you pull through the hard times, so when your griddle broke and you had to make a whole new menu of largely inferior foodstuffs we stuck with you. We say you trying and we tried back, supporting you.

I don't know when I started to realise the fire was gone. Maybe the third time I sat around long after I order had been forgotten. Maybe it was when I finally said "never again" to the most awful American in town (despite good drip). Maybe it was the second time I waited in line to find out when ordering that you were put of bacon... In a place called Bacon Bacon.

No, it was when I learned you never plan to fix your grill and get your menu back. I know it's expensive, but you broke my heart. I'll still visit, and I still love things about you (like the reuben), but the love affair...

A few blocks away from Haight St this small eatery beckons with the delicious offerings of BACON! I've eaten at their food trucks at different venues and finally made it into their restaurant. The menu is breakfast (all day) and then the lunch/ dinner menu. It's hard deciding what to get. I finally settled on their bacon burrito filed with fries, bbq pulled pork and bacon. First don't let it sit, the bacon and fries will get soggy. Not one bite of this was disappointing. Flavorful pulled pork, with the crunch of fries and bacon. It's a bit on the small side for a burrito but just enough to fill me up. If you want you can rise the piggy coin machine for kicks. Service isn't quick because it's all made to order.

The service here is friendly. I like that they used...

Yumm!! Definitely a fan of Bacon Bacon. They used to be food truck but now they opened a restaurant! The staffs are super nice, food comes out fast, great quality and they sell T-shirts! I actually got a shirt that made me laugh, "You had me at bacon" lollll!

I came here for breakfast with my roommate and we ordered the breakfast burrito and the breakfast sandwich. We both were not too cray about the breakfast burrito even though they recommend the best thing on the menu. It didn't have much spices and could use more ingredients. As for the breakfast sandwich, it was bomb diggity! The egg was cooked perfectly (yoked) and the bun was sweet and tasteful. Definitely recommend the breakfast sandwich over the burrito.

Overall, great breakfast spot and they also do lunch as well. I'll come...

Bacon!! This review is for the food truck. I found em over at the Salesforce Plaza. I got the Porkie Fries ($9.22 total). Pulled pork, fries, what's not to love about it? Well, unfortunately there's not much flavor to these fries.. 😕 The only decent thing about it is that they give you a decent amount of pork (and bacon integrated in the pork), so the pork to fry ratio is pretty decent. I just can't taste and flavor to it!! At least the fries are still crispy on the outside and soft on the inside? I want to like this, but I just can't, especially for the price you pay.. There's a Cuban sandwich on their menu that I would love to try, but if the pork on these fries tastes like this, I'm not sure I'd like the sandwich any more..

I hate to say this, but the breakfast burrito I had was very bad. One of the worst edible things I have ever tried to eat. I actually could not finish the burrito; not being able to finish food is exceedingly rare for me. The eggs were runny to the point of watery. The tortilla was completely soaked and coming apart from condensation. The avocado tasted old and very browned. It seemed like there was zero salt or pepper used preparing the burrito. Typically, I inhale these sorts of dishes but I couldn’t finish this one. Hope that others have better experiences. Attached a photo of me desiccating my damp burrito in an attempt to salvage it.

The food truck dropped by Oyster Point today. Honestly, I'm not particularly impressed. Food is average. I got the Banh Mi and the Porky Fries. The Banh Mi was supposed to have picked vegetables, they weren't. At least not in my sandwich. It was spicy, but lacked flavor. The fries were dry, meaning the pulled pork lacked moisture. There was hardly any bacon and I didn't see any pork belly. Overall, disappointed. I guess if the fries had cheese, it would help tie everything together. Ambiance, was great, but since they're a food truck they can't help with the windy location.
