Tasted really fresh and not too heavy. Now going to be my go-to spot for tacos given the ease, lightness, and fair prices. Each ingredient could really be tasted/appreciated; ngl, while I generally love the strong bursting flavor of tacos/burritos, the flavors usually just swirl together in a bite for me— but with the ones from here, I could really taste each ingredient, and somehow I liked that even more?
We ordered to-go. Got the:
• Birria tacos: crispy, crunchy shell, and overall not too heavy (which is rare for a birria taco?? It’s usually the heaviness that makes me wanna get it). It somehow felt balanced and I actually really liked it. Was imo my favorite birria taco I’ve had so far, and I’m quite the birria taco orderer 🤪
• Shrimp taco: biting into the shrimp, the barbecue smokiness hit immediately; I was very pleasantly surprised!
• Fish taco: it was very lightly battered/pan-fried, not like a baja style deep fried fish if that’s what you’re looking for. It was light and paired with a creamier assortment of veggies, which complemented the blander fish well, esp with a squeeze of lime.
• Chorizo taco: it was just OK; I personally like chorizo a lot so I was just happy to have some lol, but it wasn’t paired with flavors/ingredients that complemented it, like with the above tacos. I guess cos this one and the chicken one were just regular tacos where we just picked the meat, vs the others which were specific tacos.

My husband's flat burrita was pretty good, grilled chicken flavor was excellent. My mele enchiladas were a bit strange, not exactly as described on menu, and I don't know maybe undercooked..? Can't tell, but the tortillas were a bit hard, dish temperature was cool. The sauce did have a nice coriander flavor to it...but the overall dish wasn't "melded" in flavor. Instead of cabbage, it was topped with iceberg lettuce. If the kitchen didn't have the dish prepped, I would have liked better for the server to recommend something else. I asked for fresh jalapeños on the side, I was given a whole jalapeño, no knife, so I kinda had to tear at it with my spoon, lol. It's usually chopped or sliced by the kitchen before it gets to me. Three days later two of us returned to Chuy's for some more of that great food, went back to work the following day to find out 2 other employees eat the the day prior.... that good folks.... Myself I returned with my daughter, son-in-law, two grand kids and my older brother.. I footed the bill, yes bring deep pockets....I returned today being 2-19-2022 promise I made for her B- day remind you her Birthday is in March.....4 the slow ones About a year late lol.... I was even bragging about how clean the bathroom was all the times I been there.... Today restrooms were not very clean.... somebody needs to do their job!!!!! Please ,who ever is responsible..
