Flour & Water Pasta Shop makes good little sandwiches. We had their salumi (Italian combo) $18 and Philly roast porchetta $19 for lunch. My friend and I swapped 1/2 of our sandwiches so we can have both. The Italian combo sandwich wasn't bad. The bread was a little tough and might have been toasted too long. It could have used more of a variety of meats such as capicola, prosciutto or even salami. Instead this sandwich only had mortadella and ham. They used iceberg lettuce and that was boring. Arugula and Italian meats would have been bomb. The little Philly roast porchetta was also not bad. I liked how there were little pieces of sweet friarelli peppers in there.

We also wanted to get the cheese and meat board. It turns out, it is served in to-go containers even though we were eating there. I thought it was a waste of to go containers and decided not to support that type of behavior.

Overall, it wasn't a bad lunch. But I left still...

I had high expectations as I love the parent restaurant. I have tried 3 separate times, convinced it must have been a one off bad expierence, and each time was a let down. The meatball sandwich was the least offensive and ricotta was a nice touch but not worth $20. And the worst offender was the eggplant parmesan. The slices of eggplant were cut in such wildly different thicknesses that some pieces were still raw and uncooked. They also left the tough skin on the eggplant. I tossed 1/2 the sandwich. They do give healthy portions but IMO it doesn't make up for the quality. If i paid half as much for the sandwiches I would have still been...

Over rated and over priced. Ordered egg plant parmesan and Cali sandwich (19.00). How can a sandwich be almost 19.00 and how do they get away w that! Two sandwiches and 1 beer, paid 50.00 for lunch. Over priced and underwhelming. Bread felt like I was chewing into a paper, bacon inside my Cali sandwich was so hard that I almost broke my tooth and was super salty. Generous amount of avocado though. Husb's egg plant Parma sandwich fell apart after 1 bite. Everything tasted like they microwave cooked food over and over again. ...

A tasty sandwich, salad, and pre-made pasta selection is quickly overshadowed by the price (+ applicable taxes). We ordered the eggplant parm and a pesto pasta, which were both good, but not nearly worth the price. The eggplant parm began to fall apart before we could start to bite into it and the lack of burrata left a bit to be desired. The pasta was great, the little crunchy pepitas were a nice touch. A great outdoor seating area was shrouded by refuse and soiled clothing on the street.
