Golden Eye Social definitely makes a statement with its fancy, upscale ambiance. It's clearly designed to be a stylish spot. Our experience had some real highlights. The food was genuinely very good. We absolutely loved the mushroom steak and the fries; both were delicious. That mushroom steak, especially, felt pretty luxurious – definitely a treat for a special occasion rather than an everyday order. And our cocktails, a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini, were both well-made and enjoyable. Beyond the food and drinks, a fun surprise was their augmented reality darts. These aren't just regular darts; it's that cool setup with the 3D projectors, which made for a really unique and interactive game. We had a blast playing, and it was a bonus that it was free for us during our visit, though I understand it can typically cost around $45, so it's worth checking current pricing if you plan to play. However, where Golden Eye Social truly fell short was in its limited vegetarian and especially vegan options. Aside from the fries and the mushroom steak (which I suspect might have had egg, like other dishes), there was hardly anything else available for those looking for plant-based choices. In a city like San Francisco, where you're surrounded by restaurants boasting diverse and inclusive menus, this felt like a significant oversight. To truly appeal to a broader clientele and genuinely stand out in this competitive culinary landscape, they really need a more comprehensive and clearly labeled plant-based selection on their menu. Overall, Golden Eye Social offers a very stylish setting, good food and drinks, and some unique entertainment. If they could infuse a bit more warmth into the ambiance and significantly expand their inclusive menu options, it would truly elevate...

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely hostess and walked me to the bar. The ambience was looks great, warm, inviting, and fun. I sat at the bar and the bartender Saul welcomed me and quickly handed the menus to me and stated his favorite drinks and food items.

I went with the dónde está la biblioteca? And it was fairly priced (especially being in SOMO) and tasted great, and the drink came with a little trinket that you can take home. Which was so cute! The Espresso martini was very creamy and fairly priced. I love my coffees and espresso martinis creamy, so when it came out like that without me requested it, was 👌🏼.

I got the Oyster platter and it was fresh and good. The shoestring french fries was perfectly seasoned and tasted great. I also had the tuna with breadsticks and the touch of egg on top of the tuna was SO good and I typically don’t like tuna, but the touch of egg made it edible for me and would definitely be getting that again. You’re able to have a sit down dinner or eat at the bar. I chose to eat at the bar and there’s plenty of room for 3 shareable plates plus your drinks.

We played darts and it was so much fun trying out all the different themed darts games. I just wish the games would make some noise or played memes whenever you complete missed. But still very fun! Definitely reserve a dart game before you eat so you can play it afterwards.

10/10!

Will definitely go back after work and any day of the week to have a fun tome, alone or even with friends. The GM Carlo and staff made you feel welcomed and was always asking me if I needed anything while playing games.

Worth it!...

Came here with a group of 10 to celebrate a birthday and it was such a great way to get the night started. We reserved 2 of the darts lanes for 90 minutes. Customer service was great, food & drinks were great and ambiance was clean & modern. The darts itself was so much fun & would definitely be back. Their Bullseye cocktail was a hit in our group and the food was better than your average bar food. My only complaint is that when we ordered the 2nd round of drinks it took a while to come out & we found ourselves being rushed to clear the area before the next reservations arrived. Also, everything was on the pricier end but it was worth the experience & friendly...
