When it feels like restaurant food quality everywhere is going down while prices go up, Loltun stands apart - a shining light in the darkness. The food is so good and the prices are so affordable you might forget which city you're eating in. It's really like nothing else.
The food is delicious, you can taste the care that is put in, the freshness and quality of the ingredients, in every bite. The portions are great for sharing and prices are super reasonable. It instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in SF.
Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong. The Ponuchos, Salbutes, Tamales and Tortas are fantastic. The Poc-Chuc is incredible and the Caldo de Res is soothing, warm, and flavorful. Every dish comes with sauces, pickled veggies, citrus, salsa, and more. The combinations of flavors you can put together in a bit is unrivaled.
Whether you're visiting the city or you've lived here for years, I truly cannot recommend this...

My favorite place to come for a filling and...
