I got a spinach and feta pie and a pear crumble. The guy working the counter was SO nice and kind. My poor review is strictly based on the food. Spinach and feta pie - just know the dough is like pizza dough. That's not a bad thing but just be prepared for it as I was expecting pie crust, or like a puff pastry type hand pie. I couldn't taste the feta at all, only whatever other cheese is in there (Monterey jack I think?) No egg taste either. Overall it tasted fine, but it wasn't what I was expecting since they market it as "spinach and feta". Pear crumble - unfortunately this was awful! The pears were crunchy and tasted weird. Maybe they used unripe pears, I don't know. The pears are also just plain, not cooking in syrup or anything. The crumble topping was lackluster and didn't overcome the taste of the weird pears. The crust was fine, if you ate it without the pears.

A super cute quick eat in noe valley! Came with a group of 6 on a Saturday afternoon with no line. Food: I got the vegan yam pie and it was actually really good and just the right portion size! It is not super filling but is really savory and a interesting combination of ingredients. Service: They heat up the pies right after you choose them so it’s cool to see the pies then come out steaming hot! Super appetizing. Ambiance: Really nice coffee shop vibes and there are nice photos hanging on the walls. I would want to work here for longer since the sun splashes on you. Overall a cheap eat and a cute ambiance! Lots of variety.

INCREDIBLE!! Peasant Pies is a great resturant (a top spot worth a stop ifs you're in the area!!) and also happens to be the highest rated vendor among those offered via BearBuy at UCSF in terms of sustainability and diversity. The food speaks for itself: Delicious, handcrafted hand-held pies-the baking on the exterior is craveable and the interior flavorful, crafted from locally sourced, well-spiced and delicious ingredients. Final note: the Team, from Ali to head baker, is AMAZING!!! They put their hearts into it, and it shows. I couldn't reccomend more highly

Just have one bone to pick with establishment: Please have your menu clearly visible when someone goes on your website. Also, please consider hiring a delivery driver and not some expensive delivery service that adds no value to the finished product, enriches shareholders at the exspense of individuals who could really use a break on food costs these days.

Food is fantastic. Fillings are well done and generous. I used the example of the spinach pie in another review... there could easily be a bag full of spinach in each pie! What a value! and how much better such a pie is here than with various generic type products one purchases at corner stores, at about the same price, with mostly bread compared to a sparse amount of spinach filling.

This place is a welcome respite to the insane food prices restaurants have to charge to stay afloat. REcently for some very basic Chinese take out, a meal that would have cost me 30 bucks, for a family of 3 a year, or so ago, cost 80 bucks... and that was withought the robber barons that brought another hand into your pocket with 3rd party delivery services. You can easily feed a small family for around 30 bucks at this...

this is my new favorite place because these are things that you can hold in my hand while I'm working on a car. or just walking around doing things. at the moment all pies are $5.75. I'm kind of a big guy and one pie filled me up with a cup of coffee. they have espresso drinks. it's a small shop somewhat busy but easy seating. counter service. we wanted to go to the Chinese place next door but it was closed so this was a great find. these are small pies but they are stuffed they don't get cheap on it. we ended up taking 12 of them home. we decided that the spinach and feta and Jack and the potato and beef where the favorites to take home to microwave or toaster oven. THIS IS NOT A JUNK HOT POCKET. it's not crap. it's really good. they also have a good deal if you buy 6. I mean really for the price what are you going to do this place is good and it's affordable so what else do you want? we are going back to San Francisco almost every day and we are spending money there because it's...
