Such a delicious place! Stopped by here for late lunch with my partner. We ordered some fresh oysters, curry croquettes, spicy edamame, Lion King Salmon, and Honey Lemon Salmon. Oysters were delicious! The curry croquettes were very flavorful. The spicy edamame was amazing! Definitely on the spicier side, but we love that. My partner got the Lion King; got a taste of it and it was very delicious. I got the Honey Lemon salmon; also very delicious! It was just the right amount of sweet and citrus. Both salmon dishes came with a generous amount of sauce, which was awesome. If I had to make a critique, it would be not having a verity of sauces at the table. It would have been nice to get some soy sauce for the edamame and another sauce for the croquettes. But regardless, didn’t really impact our overall experience!

Got the captain, dragon, and salmon bar roll. Each one was perfectly made and flavorful without being overwhelming. You can tell they are an expert in what they make. Also, the curry croquet was deliciously fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Chicken yakitori was sizable and tastes like what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. Very well priced, each roll was about $13-$16 and they offer daily specials such as beer for $2 and sparkling sake for $7. We came in hungry and ordered 3 rolls and 2 appetizers which was just about enough for 2 people. Casual ambiance and everything is pretty new as they opened a year ago. Highly rec!

A friend and I went on a Monday evening around 630 for dinner, it was a great choice. We had the salmon, roll, volcano, garlic edamame, rainbow, roll, torched, Hokkaido salmon nachos which instead of chips they use Japanese mint, tempura fried. It was absolutely delectable. Omg the nachos were incredibly crispy crunchy perfectly balanced bites. The smoked hokkaido( scallops) were soft yet charred just enough and the roe was nice n fresh. Volcano is a specialty I definitely see why it is and the rolls were typical well executed rolls. Come support this gem. The service was efficient, waiter was polite, decor is beautiful, the bathroom was clean.

The food is absolutely delicious, creative and beautiful! I was only in the city for a week and ate here twice. First time had the calamari appetizer (traditional but done very well) and the miso salmon, which was excellent. Comes with fried tofu cubes - first time anyone has made me like tofu. Perfect crispy skin on the salmon. Second dinner had the fried oysters (again typical but done perfectly and great ponzu sauce), then the scallop mini burger app: sliced raw scallop stuffed with raw salmon and salmon skin, with a namasu like sauce. Oh my god so good. Then the salmon volcano, perfectly cooked rare and presented on the mound of rice, topped with the egg- break that and let it run over the whole thing, it was amazing. Mochi ice cream for dessert, best I’ve ever had. Tiny wine list but the Sonoma Cutrer chard goes perfect with the food. I live Hawaii and back home this would have been a $150 dinner easy, I was out for $75 here. Server was super efficient and friendly. Can’t say enough good about my meals and service here and I wish...

The lunch specials are excellent but the happy hour deals are out of this world.

The real incredible deal here though is happy hour. A HUGE plate of chicken karage for 4 dollars. Two bacon shrimp kebabs for 4 dollars. Croquettes for 3.50. 6 Gyzoas for 4 dollars. A huge plate of calamari for 5 dollars, and a TON of short ribs for 8. And is much more. I can’t think of a better happy hour deal in the area. If you want some food and drinks between 4-6pm this is the spot. There’s also Japanese beer for 3 dollars and a solid selection wines in the 5-6 a glass range.

They also have lunch deals, I was thrilled with my lunch today, a delicious chicken teriyaki, rice, fresh house made miso soup and salad for 16. For an extra 2 dollars, you can get this fruit tea. It’s amazing, refreshing cool and yummy. I highly recommend it, it tied my meal together.

They have housemade ankimo, which is very good. And have added sushi! I’ll be back and will be bringing friends for happy hour,...
