Was staying at the Holiday Inn for a business trip and needed a close dinner spot for the night. 2-4 min walking distance from the hotel. Super cute and lowkey spot (for now) to have some pretty decent sushi.
Tried the Wabi Sabi roll - scallop on top is actually clean tasting, sweet, lightly seared. Shiso underneath is a great garnish with the scallop (hotate). Spicy Tuna inside is yums. All together, surprisingly delicious.
7 pc chefs choice came out next - Halibut, Snapper, Red Snapper, Salmon, seared salmon(?), toro, and ikura w/ egg. Snapper, seared salmon, ikura with egg were my favorites. Another surprisingly yummy dish.
Apparently just acquired their liquor license last week so have sake and beer on deck which was a plus to relax with. Asahi, Sapporo,...

We got the nigiri tasting, an appetizer and two rolls to share. The nigiri tasting is such great value. I think it is comparable to some of the hundred dollar omakases I have been to. The rolls were delicious as well. My favorite roll was the Wabi-Sabi roll. I loved the flavor of shiso with the scallop. My partner really liked the chu-toro lovers roll which was creamy and rich.
The hospitality was also exceptional. The service was a little wait because they make their orders fresh but they gave us some small bites on the house to eat while we waited.
Overall an amazing experience. Looking forward to...
Read moreWabi Sabi had a great little sushi shop ambiance. Staff were prompt and attentive. Our food was exceptional. We say that after quite a letdown at another well reviewed place nearby. What a relief to find a tasty spot nearby.
We had the a5 wagyu nigiri, maguro tuna nigiri, hamachi yellowtail nigiri, the 7 piece nigiri sampler, and the wabi sabi roll. All were excellent. The cut and texture of each piece was perfect. We ordered a second round as all was tasting so good.
They surprised us with matcha green tea ice cream, which was also great.
