Golden Farmer Market — Local services in San Francisco

I just moved to sf and this nob hill neighborhood, and OMG this place is a hidden gem!!!! every time I pass by it, there are so many people shop there. It’s definitely a local favorite!!! They have surprisingly a lot of fun stuff that I thought I can only find in Chinatown or Japan town or any big asian market. For example, fish stock powder, a stable in all kinds of Japanese cuisine, like udon noodle or some other stew. I couldn’t even find them in Japan town! Btw the best soy sauce I have ever bought is from here too. Also the price of most of the stuff is so reasonable. It’s not a corner store that will ripe you off. Veggie and fruit section are more of a hit or miss, could be super cheap sometimes, I once found some fresh strawberries are only 0.99 per box!!!!! I never seen such a price. And they tastes great. Meat section is the best of all, really small but price is so nice. I am really picky in general so if I like this place, I feel like most people will too lol. Now my grocery routine is this place then...

So I love finding special places, and this is another hidden 💎. First off it's clean, organized so you don't have to hunt for stuff. It is well lit and fully stocked. They have a wonderful cheese selection and a wide range of frozen entries and ice cream in the back.. I am not sure if the building is handicap accessible as I encountered stairs at the entrance and exit. The wide selection of fruits and vegetables is wonderful and the prices are not overly expensive for a change. The atmosphere was pleasant and it was not busy at all at 5pm.. here's one more reason to take a gander on this store.. ready.. its 90% downhill from each direction lol.. I mean fighting hills with a food cart is a pain lol.. its nice to find a great store and a awesome employee vibe.. the ice cream...

Enter on Polk. Slightly below ground. Although alot is packed into small store, the isles are not crowded and impassable like some places. Incredible selection and quality in produce for such a place. Might call the brand selection as 'health food' style. But is really just offering quality stuff. Meat selection is never old or past due. Dairy and yogurt very diverse in selection. Lots of crackers and flatbreads of Euro origin. Always and very clean. I did not specifically check but I think all their stuff is Halal or Kosher. And quite a bit of flavors and unique varieties of pop, so no Coke no Pepsi or other commercial brands....
