Dr. Sammie truly has magic hands! I ended up at her salon after a curly hair specialist I had planned to visit in Redwood City was a no-show. Desperate for a cut, I searched online and called Dr. Sammie. She told me to come on in, saying, “I gotchu,” and she absolutely delivered.

I have incredibly curly hair and don’t trust just anyone to cut it, so I was nervous at first. But watching her work with such ease and skill—it was clear she knew exactly what she was doing. Dr. Sammie has been cutting hair for over 30 years, and her expertise really showed. She handled my curls beautifully, giving me exactly the cut I wanted. It’s not about the type of hair you have—it’s about the stylist’s skills, and Dr. Sammie’s are unmatched.

She washed, cut, and styled my hair at a great price, all while making me feel at ease. It just so happened to be my birthday, and she made the experience even more special with her humor, attentiveness, and amazing energy. I even learned a little Chinese during my visit!

When she was done, I left feeling lighter, freer, and most importantly, confident. My curls looked amazing, and I couldn’t stop smiling. Her scissor work is so quick and precise—I was in and out in no time.

I was blown away! Sammie was incredibly thorough, fast, and knew exactly what to do with my haircut, even though I was there for the first time and only briefly described what I wanted and showed her 1 picture.

I had received bad haircuts the previous two times that I visited a salon. The stylists had shaved my hair too far up/to the right of my head, so I told Sammie that I wanted to move my hairline and grow out the hair that shouldn't have been cut. She knew to give me a fade even before I asked, because it would help blend the short growing-out hair better. She also knew how I wanted the rest of my hair to fall, and she layered and thinned it perfectly.

You can tell that she takes a lot of pride in her work and knows exactly what she's doing from years and years of experience. From start to finish the haircut took less than half an hour, and the price is right too! I'm going to be coming...

So impressed. Sammie fixed a horrendous cut from a very expensive Instagram loved salon, for half the price of any other salon this quality of haircut in SF or LA. She is fast and you’ll have to wait, she’s very popular. But she has 30 years of experience and takes her work very seriously and it shows. I feel like myself again, thank you Sammie!

She understood everything I expressed - from my texture (wavy), to the shape I wanted, to how deeply cut my bangs were and she nailed it.
