I was very impressed with the professionalism and the urgency demonstrated by everyone. I walked into the office just yesterday to inquire about an appointment for an irritation in my left eye. I was asked if I felt I needed a full eye exam, which I would have to wait until November to get; or I could take a 15 minute slot to examine my specific issue, the next day. I was thrilled, and my appointment was right on time, and the doctor gave me a treatment for my issue. I was out in 15 minutes. The receptionist and doctor were both extremely polite, respectful, and friendly. For my being a new patient, I could not have been more pleased. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. I most certainly will return.
I wrote the above review in the summer of 2021. Yesterday, I went in for a full eye exam. This was my first exam here. I must say, I was as impressed if not more so, than my first visit. Again, the professionalism and kind/ caring attitude of everyone there was so appreciated. I was seen immediately, and my full exam was thorough and efficient. Dr. Hiura explained everything he was doing as well as relayed his findings. I really felt that he genuinely cared about me and advised me well on the results of my exam. The cost was much more reasonable than I had paid at other area optometrists for the same exam. I will definitely be returning in the future, and will highly recommend this office...
Read moreI have been with Dr. Chris Hiura for years, me and my husband. He got my trust when he was able to diagnosed my elevated IOP which others failed to do so.. The clinic is clean, spacious. Variety of eye wear to choose.
Less 1 star for this clinic bec of the arrogant, rude, racist front desk name “C____”, she’s hispanic lady with a poor customer service, obviously discriminate Asian. She opened the door for us, very unwelcoming, no smile on her face, no greetings, no thank you. At the end of the appt, she said “ you have an 80$ balance” I asked may I know what is it for (breakdown). She sounded so impatient and irritated while answering me. Note that we observed her from the time we arrived, her approach to the Caucasian lady and other pt were totally different, she was smiling, greeted them well, apologetic, escorted and opened the door as they live..
If you ever read this review , “C.., next time I felt treated differently I will not hesitate to correct your poor customer service etiquette. You should not be in the front desk if you don’t know how to treat all client/patient equally. I am paying for the service I received. I have been under Dr.Chris longer than this receptionist. And seen different staff, but she is the worst.
I acknowledge Maria, who is the total opposite of this rude...
Read moreI found Drs. Hiura & Hiura through Google search because of the reviews. The Doctors were nice enough, all business: thorough and competent; which is what you would want if you want the job done. Receptionist, on the other hand was incompetent; especially at communication. After my exam at the office, I conferred with the receptionist to confirm process if I needed an appointment to come back to pick up contacts. She said no. Just come on in. A few days later, I came back to the office to pick up my contacts, not only I was unable to because they didn't explain that it needed to be order but I'm stuck with only one pair of "daily" contacts that I now have to wear for seven days while I wait for my contacts to come in. I even ask if they can spare some samples while I wait for my order. That would be a no. They also said I should be able to get a rebate on my contact order. I figured they would process the rebate because they are ordering my contacts but now it seems I have to manage that too. I guess my point is, their communication process is very frustrating. I will not be ordering my glasses nor most likely return for my...
