First impressions is (am I in the right place?) looked around there’s not much space inside the menu is a little overwhelming. I asked how much was something the older lady said two items with rice $8, I responded with “I would just like a small order of rice and vegetables” she scooped it on a plate and said $8. Not sure if I was cheated out my other portion or not since I was hungry and it was lunch time I went ahead and paid it. The communication on ordering could be better but thank god the food was good.

Their $5 rice plate + soup might be the best lunch deal in SF! Just be prepared to not understand the options, share a table, find a few inedible pieces, and don't expect a health score above 90. Nonetheless, the pumpkin is excellent, the orange pork has huge delicious hunks of fried fat and there are always veggie and tofu options, but I'd assume everything contains some meat/fish.

May2025 No frills counter style servings which is what you should expect in SFO Chinatown. The food to a certain extent is old style of making traditional Chinese fare. What turns people off is often the prices but this is SFO. One must manage one's expectations and dine here within the proper context of immigrants catering to tourism.

I woke up wanting apple fritter from Bob's Donuts, but was ask by wifey that we need to trek down to chinatown. I hate stepping on chinatown sidewalks often dirty and slimy with heavy yellow/green mucus. However, this time I got smart. I wore a pair of really beat up shoes that I usually wear while doing odd tasks at home. We walk in and she order a bagful for her work and asked if I wanted anything? Sure what do you recommend for me? Most items won't fit the palate of Americans if you asked for description. I stick with a single pork bun and shared a box of jai learn, a fried donut wrapped with rice noodle and garnish with onions and fermented chopped veggies. It's pretty good IMHO! I like this place. Ho...

Very affordable. Cash only by the way. Authentic and tastes ok. Porridge is too salty. The lady that takes orders was not very friendly and forgot something I ordered twice. There was also some miscommunication between her and guys in the kitchen because they had to yell at each other to communicate. When I asked for two sets of utensils, she gave me but said usually one set per order which was ridiculous. I ordered for two adults and one baby, and people ordered in front or behind me ordered less than I did for sure. So one set per order didn’t make...

Prices posted are inaccurate and they want you to buy 3 of the same items per order. There is no mix even if the items are the same price. A man came out of the kitchen and asked me what I wanted. He was not wearing a mask so I stalled and waited for the granny to finish up with the existing customer. But when I was quoted a different price for what I wanted I didn't trust the granny either. I ended up buying less (about 1/2) than what I had originally wanted if they let me mix items. I even told that to granny. Her response...
