Cali-Spartan Mexican Kitchen in San Jose, CA, is a delightful spot that has quickly become my new go-to place. As a sit-down restaurant that also offers takeout, it provides the best of both worlds.
The interior may not be overly extravagant, but the real magic lies in their food. I recently indulged in their heavenly carne asada burrito, and it was an absolute feast. For just $10, I was blown away by the generous portion of succulent carne asada that filled every bite. They definitely don’t hold back when it comes to the meat, ensuring that you get your money’s worth and then some.
The flavor explosion in every mouthful was simply incredible. The combination of perfectly seasoned ingredients created a taste that had me hooked from the very first bite. It’s safe to say that Cali-Spartan knows how to make their dishes shine with authentic Mexican flavors.
One aspect that impressed me was the quick wait time. Despite the restaurant’s popularity, they managed to serve my order promptly. The attentive service further added to my dining experience, leaving me with nothing but positive impressions.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly give Cali-Spartan Mexican Kitchen a well-deserved five-star rating. I can’t recommend it enough to fellow food enthusiasts seeking a truly satisfying culinary adventure. Trust me, this hidden gem will leave your taste buds...
Read moreWe were excited to try this place. We used to go to burritozilla that used to be in the same spot. Any, saw that it was pretty highly rated, so we tried it out. It was busy, with a small wait. After being seated awhile the server came up to get our food and drink order. We never saw him again except when I had to flag him down for a food issue. I ordered the veggie burrito, and they forgot to put beans and rice in it! It was all veggies wrapped up in a tortilla. When I showed the server my ¾ finished burrito with no beans or rice in sight, he just said, "want me to give you a side of beans and rice?" The beans and rice came in two tiny salsa bowls. The beans looked like white navy beans. I've never been to a Mexican food restaurant that didn't use pinto or black beans. These were flavorless. After eating, My wife ordered the fajita burrito, and she said the meat was not fajita-like. Instead of cut strips of seasoned skirt steak or flank steak, it was just very finely chopped up beef - almost like ground beef. I went to wash my hands, but there was no soap in their dirty bathroom. My wife said her the soap dispenser was broken in the women's...
Read moreIf I didn’t live their food as much as I do this review would be way worse. But by far this has been the worst customer service place I’ve ever been. I go here a lot. Obsessed with it their chicken tacos. But every time I come in it’s a task. I order my drink and not only does my food come before my drink most of the time, I usually have to ask for it. As I sit here and watch other tables get their items. Today was the final straw and the reason I won’t be returning. Not only did I wait for 20 minutes for my drink, after they brought our food out my wife’s was completely wrong. When she spoke up and told them no this isn’t what I ordered our host wanted to argue instead of making it right. On their menu it states 3 small crunchy type tacos for 11$. When we got the bill they charged us way more. So I advise any one coming here to double check their menu vs. the charges. Although I do love this place I know there’s more restaurants that deserve my money and prob have...
