Great Mexican seafood with perfectly balanced flavors!
We got a huge platter of Aguachiles Verdes, which consisted of a ton of raw shrimp, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onion. All of this was marinated in a citrus chile lime juice mixture that had just the right amount of salty, sour, and spicy flavors and you could taste it in every single bite! Served with a huge bag of tostadas. Big thanks to our server who, despite being incredibly busy, brought by a squeeze bottle of mayo and suggested we add some to our tostadas. It was the perfect creamy complement to the aguachiles!
It was also our first time trying Sinaloan style sushi; sounded over the top at first but I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the combo of ingredients and flavors turned out! We got the Divorciado, which was a sushi roll stuffed with steak, shrimp, cream cheese, cucumber, and avocado. The whole thing was breaded, deep fried and sliced, then topped off with surimi and creamy sauces and served with a blistered guero chili pepper and a slightly tangy dipping sauce. It was very flavorful and also fun to eat!
They have a ton of other dishes that look delicious and I'm looking forward to trying their ceviche on our next visit! And probably another one of their...
Read moreMy wife, my brothers and I came here to celebrate my brother's birthday. The staff, although lacking in attention, was very friendly and hospitable. The environment is fun and vibrant. We came on a Friday night, and apparently they have live music on Friday nights. The music was way too loud, beyond any tolerance most people have. The noise hurt me hearing and gave me a serious headache.
The food was good, not exceptional, but better than average. It took them about an hour after we ordered for then to finally start bringing our food to the table.
I am allergic to shrimp and ordered a cocktail but specifically asked for an octopus only cocktail and specified it was because I am allergicnto shrimp. Lo and behold, one hour later my cocktail comes to the table with no shrimp in the soup, except for some very small pieces of octopus and two fat shrimps curled around the glass, dipped in the juice. After the waitress returned it and the cook sent it back to the table arguing there were no shrimp on the cocktail (what about those two big ones, I thought) I just asked the lady to leave it. I was way too hungry and tired to argue.
Overall, good experience, pricey, but good quantity...
Read moreReally good place, I was there for the first time, party of two, the service was very good, respectful, knowledgeable and suggested very good options, I went with the grilled octopus and love it! It was plentiful, soft and very flavorful, excellent choice, we had some oyster shots, fried shrimp and seafood fajitas, everything was really good. There's 2 reasons I don't give it 5 stars: The AC was not working and it was a very hot afternoon, then they opened the doors and flies started to come in, I didn't like that idea. And second, they have no prices in their menu, or if they had it it was the "old" price, and regardless of my ability to pay for what I want or not it is a MUST for every business to show their prices as you put a customer in an awkward situation asking for multiple prices which I don't like doing... Plus it's hard to determine value for money if the prices are to be guessed. Sure enough this place was on the high end of the price range, We paid $127 for 2 with a $20 tip included. Good place though, these things are minor, yet important...I'll probably try it again and hopefully they added the prices to the menu and...
