Food was delicious, the most authentic Mexican street food you'll ever get. Staff was extremely nice, but keep in mind this is a MEXICAN place, so they most likely speak Spanish. Very nice and friendly, just speak to them in Spanish. Prices are very reasonable, keep in mind they are in DOWNTOWN San Jose, a place where its very pricey. The workers there are very hard working, they work there all day and still have good customer service. I see a lot of negative reviews on here, so let me clear some things up. This is not a sit in restaurant. You have to go up and order your food. The workers are very kind enough to bring your food to you once you sit down. I reccomend this place if you're looking for an authentic Mexican experience and authentic Mexican food. Ahora en español. La comida estaba bien deliciosa, y los trabajadores bien amables con música bien chingona. Todos que dejan un mal review no son mexicanos.

Hands down THE BEST taqueria I've tried in Santa Clara County! I've tried close to 75% of the taquerias in Santa Clara. I got a super carne asada burrito, and my girlfriend got a 1 chicken, and 1 carne asada taco. The flavor is perfect and there was not a single bit of chewy disgusting gristle in it! I have found my favorite taqueria! If you're someone from Menlo park or somewhere similar, and think the area is too seedy to come try it, GET OVER IT! you won't regret it! Lastly, their chips are great. And they provide 3 types of salsa with them without you needing to request it! And the salsa is spicy, but not to the point that your tongue turns in to rubber and you can't taste anything for the next week. It's perfectly spicy/flavorful!

Went on a Tuesday afternoon for a quick bite to-go. Parked behind the building as on street parking is hard to find. Staff were amicable and quick to serve. Ambiance was relaxed with plenty of seating indoors and outside. Few orders were ahead of mine but the food came out within a relatively short time. Ordered a chicken mulita and a chorizo burrito. Both were extremely great with the right amount of grease and flavor, meat well cooked, packed with the right measure of condiments. Red and green salsa are given by default and good as well.

My expectations drop down very much about Metro balderas restaurant...usually I got food from the truck ...I adventure my self to have a dinner with my husban but,the amount and quality of food are less in the restaurant .I got a burrito which price is fair lost of beans and tortilla little meat...i wanted to cry the taste is good but i am paying for beans and tortilla....I give to this location 2 stars, the colors in the walls hurts my eyes....an advise to this place do some renovations, train well the personal,do some good cleaning improve the amounts of food for the price dont burn the chips please...for this reason even though i like the burritos i wont recomended to my friends and family..we can find better than this for less...anyone who can read this review ...lets go to Aqui in the lincoln ave ...quality for less.....one more advise better closed the place keep the truck that is a lot more clean .smells free...I am desapointed sorry...please lower the music volume as...
